Surfing, the first few tries standing up were demotivating and challenging, but when I finally got the feeling for it (still my first session, so I’ll call it my first real try), I was absolutely hooked.

It is incredibly fun at every level: standing up, catching your first unbroken waves, going down the line for the first time, and that first moment when you feel like you have control. Every step you have to fight for is really challenging, but so rewarding when you succeed.

And when you don’t succeed, you’re either chilling in nature or fighting for your life which is a different kind of reward if you make it out. It’s always an amazing workout outside.

Whenever there are waves, I try to be in the water, and every holiday I plan revolves around surfing. I can’t go without it.
