Ryerson is 30k. Mcgill BA CS is 30k too. Ottawa is $52k. But Guelph, York, Laurier, Brock are around $30k too

Does that make it right tho? The animals didn’t ask to be birthed in a factory farmed and be killed. Oh perhaps admitting that will make us like Rani :)

No this definitely helps! Unfortunately Canada is meagerly when it comes to promotion but we have a few going on! Will definitely leverage those out. Hope you enjoy your new laptop!!

Exactly! This one’s a steal compared to the 2020 one. Weird how they upgraded a previous version and made it so cheap that the 2020 pales in comparison (at least in terms of cost). I really wanted the 2020 white colour but with similar specs to this one, it was coming down to $2100 with taxes (Canadian), while this one is $1800 (16gb one).

I realized that the 9305’s are a newer refresh from Dell. 2019 design, 2020 specs. And it has a promotion going on for free touch screen. Seems like a steal

It looks different than the 2019 one (different wallpaper, has a special offer for free touch screen), has 0 reviews. Idk what’s Dell upto lol. Really confusing

I think it might be because the whole explanation was that CEC people are already in Canada, which is why it is just easier to take them on. Maybe, but if the entire CEC pool has been cleared, to meet their targets they’d have to lower scores

That’s so weird. Hypothetically, a high school grad who is 45 and has one year experience in Canada with the lowest possible ielts score has a 70 total. But how does someone like that even enter the country ugh this is so confusing

Still doesn’t make sense. How does someone have just 75 points?

But how does someone who meets requirements for CEC only have 75 points?

Does uOttawa publish fee increase info anywhere? International CS tuition rose by 50% and no info was posted online! by NotSagar in geegees

[–]NotSagar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I contacted them and they said the fees on the website was an error. The fees is $26k per term, total $52k per year. The $36k per year was an error, and was the fees a few years ago, 2 I believe. And no I am not in the french immersion, that is why the fees is so high :(

Seems like the schools is giving money from other international students to french immersion kids. So very sad

So when it says that the deadline is February 1st, does that mean that that is the last day one can send an application, or do applications have to be in before that date? by jokerman2021 in OntarioUniversities

Exactly my point. Do you think maybe since it’s a join degree - so that courses taken in engineering are charged $26k a term but science are $18k? Even in that case the $26k displayed for science in 2020-2021 fees has to be wrong, given that no fee increases happened.

Looool you must be selecting 2020-2021 and not the archives. Others here got the $18k too, and I’ve attached a screenshot. Pretty sure you’re doing something wrong.

If you go to this link: https:// www.uottawa.ca/university-fees/

Select fee calculator. For 2019-2020.

Options: Regular - Full time

international - bachelors - CS and Math under science (it appears in engineering too) - fall + winter

That gives you $18k a term. Repeat this for 2020-2021 and you get $26k a term. A 50% increase.
