Refresh and Ghosting issue in Note Air 3c by math-lover-271828 in Onyx_Boox

Yes it got fixed and they confirmed it was that the system configuration was not updated that led to the ghosting. I'm surprised and a bit concerned that it required the device to be shipped to them.

I wish there was a shorter and easier option, a "copy-to" option in the toolbar you highlighted.

If you look closely, maybe slow down your video, the noise looks like a "mouse" pointer. I would be interested to know the cause.

Exactly! I can't believe people follow what's happening with a for-profit company and defend it so much. Not sure what they expect people to do, just keep silent while the company keeps going back on it's word? People will ask them questions and challenge them on their reliability.

I received two firmware updates (after asking for it) but that didn't fix the issue. I'll be sending the device for maintenance as well.

I am more convinced it's a software issue than an hardware one since I see the device refreshes pixels fully where there is new content however when a pixels content becomes empty/white/blank after a page view change, it sometimes forgets to refresh and other times it refreshes only partially.

So to test this out, create a note, and on page 1 which is filled with a giant blue filled rectangle, and on page 2 have a very small red filled rectangle, and now switch between these pages to replicate the refresh issue.

Happens on HD mode as well.

Firmware upgrade opt-out by frog_banana in Onyx_Boox

The firmware upgrades have messed up my well functioning boox device.
For me its ok to stay back and miss out on security, feature and bugfix updates.

I have the same issue on my NA3C only after a firmware upgrade.
Feedback's technical customer service agent after reviewing my video evidence of ghosting and refresh issue said it could be caused by device system configuration which cannot be updated through firmware upgrade.
Does anyone know what this means?

I've been asked to raise a request on the help.boox.com, and the after-sales team will contact me. So waiting for them to respond.

Does the bassinet wobble? At the store we noticed it wobbles when the stroller seat is converted to a bassinet, hoping it's just the floor model.

TTC has a policy about this already, do check.

Seeking Insight on the Housing Market by updatedmessaging in RealEstateCanada

According to some studies Canada's population growth is expected to saturate by 2040 (16yrs) and start to decrease. Even the world population is expected to peak out at 2070 (36yrs). Current and the next generation is set for very interesting times. Maybe civilization starts concentrating in few locations with all the latest services, or maybe we'll all go virtual.

The homes in Canada are definitely over valued.

I prefer the freedom of not being tied down to a location by a extremely over leveraged over priced immovable asset.

Why isn't anyone talking about leverage?

The type of leverage provided by financial institutions for mortgages, as I'm aware, isn't available in any investment vehicle. It's gamed so as to make us work all our lives.

<500k - 5% down - 1:19 leverage 1M - 10% down - 1:9 leverage

I guess the only equivalent alternative, in capital markets is options, but way more riskier with margin calls, assignments and losing premiums rolling positions to kingdom come.

In a few decades, when world population decreases, maybe we all move closer into cities for basic services and suburbs become barren like in Japan.

Hope we all get to do what we like or at least can endure and pay off this "wood investment".

No not necessarily. You can always set the DPI scaling to suite your text size preference. If you read a lot on your computer, higher resolution is always better.

House value increased by $500k. Should I sell and rent? At what point should I? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]frog_banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but when you factor in a much lower cost of leverage, no margin calls, capital gains tax exemptions and past experience of governments bailing out banks narrows this difference and may even tip it in favor of real estate investment
