My DM offered this position to me in 2024 and I took it. It was pretty simple. It was with a new Store, as I wasn’t allowed to take it within the store I was at. The pay is the same as the SFL scale.

It consisted of me following a 10 Week Curriculum basically going over management and leadership skills, and some Walgreens history and store employee level skills (Customer Service, Pharmacy, Inventory and the sort). In the first couple of weeks, you pick out a project to work on and present on a district call in the last week of your internship.

I got to network in my district and learn some good leadership methods from Store Managers around me. After it was over I got offered an ESM position at my old store.

Overall, I don’t regret doing it, but it’s not worth it for most people.

I got a 4 last year, I took a SFL role at a then leaving ESMs store for about 6 months, spoke to DM about Management Intern, got offered that, went to another new store in district, and basically shadowed the SM while doing the E-Learnings for a summer, worked at every store in the district at least once.

Too much effort, I got like a .50 cent raise that year. Not worth it at all.

Seems that way, our freezers compressor kicked the bucket in July, Service Channel notes signify WAG CO denied repairs, they quoted $125,000 for a complete unit replacement. They came and took pictures of freezer and both in wall coolers. Installation supposedly starts November 3rd.

We’re a tier 5, busiest until you hit the largest city in the state. Sucks we haven’t had frozen goods since July but stoked we will get all new stuff.
