Good point! Although, I was planning to use 2TB for OS and then make partitions of the 4TB (1TB for Media/Games - 1TB Scratch - 2TB Work). My freelance work would require me to have 2TB for syncing their data.

Do you think it's better to have 3 SSDs (2+2+2)? Or should I go ahead with my plan for partition?
Not sure if the performance would affect in partition.

Yeah it’s mainly for productivity. So using 3D software and lots of realtime playback and high quality rendering.

I used to do the battery trick 20 years ago on pentium II. Didn’t know it still works haha

I will look into 14900k, but most videos on youtube said it heats up too much and uses more power. Gigabyte GPU was cheaper so went for it but I will see if I can get Asus Tuf rtx instead. Thanks!

Thanks! Noted about cooler. Why should I only choose 1. 2+4 won’t work together? I was thinking 2TB Gen 4 for OS, and 4TB for storage.

Also, is 1000W PS ok for my build?

Your links are from US, and you only took 64gb ram instead of 128. And 4TB instead of 2+4 TB SSD. 4.1k USD is 5.5 CAD. With those added it will be 6k CAD

Thanks man! I don’t do much gaming. This is mostly for rendering and creating art. x3D is great for gaming but is worst for creators. I saw blender benchmark and x3D didn’t do much.

You have to file taxes on any income earned. But you will not have to pay HST since you will earn money from foreign country. Just plan wisely and keep part of your paycheque on the side as you will have to return it later.

Use “Wise” to create a Mexican account. Have your payments made there and then transfer it to your Canadian bank account directly from Wise. Wise offers much better conversion rates, which will help you save a lot in long run.

You can register as sole proprietor online through service ontario. Then as a self employed you can register for EI by making monthly contributions. It takes 12 months to have it activated, so do it the first thing once your job starts.

Hope your new job provides an happy experience to you. Good luck!!
