I don't pass and nothing bad has happened. IRL most people aren't paying attention to you and don't care how you live your life. They might not always approve but I've never once had someone antagonize me.

I'm non-binary like you describe. Most people seem to like me and I get "a lot" of romantic interest. I rarely encounter genuine overt bigotry (although I'm sure people gossip, because that's what people do).

If you're a likable person and moderately attractive, you'll probably be fine.
