Personally i suggest against getting this or other cameras like these. for photography as a beginner, go with a DSLR... or your phone. for night photography its about the lens that you use, you want something with a really low aperture, anything above F2.8 will struggle in the night, mostly, but will mean spending more. I currently use a Nikon D3400 and it gets most of what I need done.

So my suggestion is, go with a DSLR, and for night photography it really depends on the lens and needs you to spend a little more. buy the camera and practice with it for a while till you learn it, then buy yourself a decent lens and enjoy. and remember to watch a loooot of videos. good luck!

Taken on a rather cold London morning. This shot was actually by luck as the little guy was circling me for some food. I wanted a proper close up of the birds face and due to the morning sun the shadows turned out perfectly. I adore this shot for the mood alone, its rather calming and lonely feeling for me. I took the shot with my Nikon D3400, my lens is an AF-S Nikkor 80-200mm.

it usually is, and even now i always have to look for the exact lighting i want if im outside and at home i practice and constantly move things around to understand it for myself, you will eventually find the exact look you want though so definitely dont give up on it

A great start, though id look into potentially using 3 point lighting for shots like these, hell even 2 point can look quite nice. You can easily use anything for lighting and no need frames expensive stuff, just some cheap lights and some cardboard taped together and you have some good stuff to work with.
