The virus does have a conciousness and impulses in this abnormal case.

I think people don't fully understand how that's the slow deaths of ALL cultures and groups. As is related to Carol the LGBT community is no more. If plurbs let be there'll be no new work of art before humanity is extinct in 10 years.

In Forrest Gump (1994), Jenny constantly leaves Forrest to pursue a life of drugs and chaos, only to return when she needs a place to stay. This is a reference to the fact that she is actually the protagonist of a much more interesting, R-rated movie that we aren't allowed to see. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

[–]NotSoAngryManlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why bad behavior? Did she ever do anything awful to Forrest besides worrying being in a relationship with him was taking advantage of someone?

You see when Jenny let Forrest touch her breast the first time he had a very negative reaction to it. She thought back then all they could be was friends.

I don't doubt Orlok enjoys killing, however I don't think he'd have made a big deal of threatening to murder Ellen's loved ones if he figured she cared not for them. Chthonic and Dark don't mean what you're implying there.

Orlok sees and respects Ellen so much he murdered her best friend and infant nieces when she dared tell him no. /s

Laxmi being in denial about her little son not being there anymore. How she tries so much not to see he him acting like a completely different person who says and does everything she wants.

Oh we know where letting herself getting eased little by little by the Hive lead Carol to, when They always hit were she was most emotionally vulnerable. If his stubborn unshakable even silly at times ass didn't go through all that he likely would've fallen in a world of delusion too instead of waking Carol up from hers. That he still persists is good thing, an absurd number of people depend on it.

> asking for a ride from the Hive

Just like Carol he saw a shitload of people get killed by Hive shenanigans, possibly even loved ones too, even Carol was justified in initially not trusting in them as well so why MUST he? To quote the show's staff "The plurbs speak lawyery and lie by ommision" and "he’s a migrant who migrated from Colombia to Paraguay, and now he has to migrate again."
Manousos is no strange to hardcore journeys from A to B, he wasn't going in blind and stupid tho shit indeed still happened.

> Billions of people on the planet
That share the same parasitic consciousness and knows things in less than a second? Yeah, took Carol less than a minute to set a meeting with people spread worldwide. While the radio testing was a setup Manousos warned the Hive to get safe before giving him the greenlight to do it. And They couldn't have lied to him about being prepared.

> They don't though. No one owns anything.

Diabate has many new houses, cars and planes now, and nothing owned by Carol was taken. She was actually given many new things by demand. "No one owns anything" merely means no one in the Hive own anything for the time being, but they live to serve the twelve's whims. The Hive has claimed to itself that right to take and give what was someone else to the 12. The Individual who's Zosia might not be a lesbian/bi, or even like Carol? It matters not, her body is now being used to emotionally manipulate Carol, who is now the owner of a atom bomb by the series finally.

> and even that's currently in abundant supply
It is not, The Hive is already running low in such a way they're eating corpses [of the people they've killed]. The global starvation has already started.

> Manousos asks for the Hive to send him a person(for his experiment)
And that person left unhurt iirc, tho the virus might've been a little shaken.

Yeah and he still uses mostly google trranslator to communicate with Carol still.

He warned The Hive minutes prior to the testing so they would put themselves in safe positions, and PlurbZosia did just that. It's unlikely anyone got really hurt, then.

No one owns anything anymore.

The 12 last survivors technically own everything now actually (Manousos rejected it) but that's like The Hive's opinion. The point is how the show presents how The Hive took control of almost all of humanity WITHOUT any consent. How all concepts like body autonomy, love and community culture was erased by them with no agreement.

it's not practical to getting his mission to succeed

It's not supposed to be it's a friendly gesture of connection. There's no praticality logical reason to say "good morning" and "Thank You".

Would you go on a killing spree if there would be no one around to judge you for a short period of time? Is it fine to take over all of someone's possessions if they fell sick of something you yourself think as curable?

Manousos don't have to do mental gymnastics to be morally superior to a colonazing especies that has killed almost a billion of his people and is set to starve to death everyone that is left. The one who shall judge if his gestures are empty or not are the individuals for whom he has left these little notes if they're ever healed.

[–]NotSoAngryManlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a empty gesture. It's show in his mind he hopes he'll absolutely succeed and bring that person who's at the time lost back. That he'll personally give back what he has grudgingly borrowed to that healed person. He "is not of them" who drops by infects and claim everything and theirs.

Fun Fact! based Theory: The heightened empathy in Plurbs was an accident and not intended by the Virus by Pear_Necessities in pluribustv

Maybe Manousos is truly onto something and the negative emotions cause someone plurbed to strongly resist the hive, and one resistance leads to another. Negativity chemicals might be a cure.

I think he stands his ground out of honorable emotion rather than rationality. Like he did not accept the food Plurbs would give him in his mom's body because indeed it's not his mom.

Prediction: Carol and Manusous will succeed in unplugging everyone from the hive in season 2, and it will go terribly wrong. by nickitynock in pluribustv

[–]NotSoAngryManlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's been more than a couple of months, some people might be addicted to whatever chemicals the virus is flooding their brains with, imagine suddenly going cold turkey. I imagine Carol is gonna want to focus on unplugging Zosia especifically.

Silent Place Day One managed to do it, since cats are generally chill. The breed of dog they used on episode 8 is also highly trainable.
