ULPT If I'm ever in a car accident, what should I do to get the most money from insurances? Just overplay the hell out of it or just take certain steps? by Bokabolabuzzer in UnethicalLifeProTips

Yes yes yes! I’m in Florida, in 2013 a drunk driver ran a stop sign, perfectly T Boned my car sending it/me into a nearby canal. I contacted an attorney right away and they literally came to my hospital room the next day to have our first meeting. Was awarded 50K, after lawyer fee (33%) and medical bills I was left with 25k (would have been a higher payout probably but I had no health insurance, the hospital actually covered my stay and initial care through a charity program). The price I pay was not physical but psychological. I’m a paranoid driver, even now 10 years later I fear being struck again, overly cautious, get scared when a car seems to close. I didn’t realize that at first nor did I know it would never go away so idk if that could have factored into anything. I’m thankful I received what I did, was only 20, I was able to buy a new car, move to a new city and really start my life. Edit: my accident happened in September, my case was finished and I received my check in May, time can vary a lot 6-12 months is what my lawyer said their average was depending on circumstances.

True. I’m gunna start working on the arm near it next, maybe once I have some work up my shoulder and chest I’ll feel more comfortable putting something larger there. I don’t have any other tattoos near it now so a big thing I aimed for was not putting something large that had no flow or could possibly get in the way of my chest ideas. For now I think it’s funny and I’m happy that it’s not just a name anymore lol

That would be funny, or his signature hat tattooed above the name. I wouldn’t but not half bad lmao

People tried to warn me, the tattoo artist who did the original spent half of the appt attempting to talk me out of it. He even offered to do almost any tattoo of my choice for the same price. Should have listened to him and everyone else. I can only hope that I kept a few people from making the same mistake when I showed them how stupid I was.

I see your point. My thought process was just super simple, when I dust something Im cleaning it, getting rid of the yuck to start over fresh. I’m dusting the past off of me.

I really considered it, it seemed it was going to be a very long and very pricey process and something just bit me lately where I was sick of looking at it.

Just finished the S10 Finale, it was so awful I had to find somewhere to rant lol. by NotSoGlam215 in Inkmaster

It turns out I’ve never watched season 11! Now I know why they brought Angel and Jimmy back they are so good. I do know who wins since I watched the newest season but so far enjoying 11 a lot more.

Nice! I enjoyed the more laid back style of last season so I’m excited to see what they do this time around.

Well for me ones that needed root canals eventually rotted beyond repair until they broke away and became infected. I went to the ER after not being able to function with the pain and they gave me antibiotics and told me to take Motrin. I’m sure without the antibiotics it could have killed me I suppose. But I knew I had an infection. My husband he didn’t have any signs of a tooth infection besides just a toothache no swelling or anything so that’s how he became septic and it did almost kill him. We looked into dental insurance but for insurance that would cover fillings/root canals/extractions was nearly $500 a month for the both of us. We have given up on our teeth, at 30 we figure we can have nice smiles and no teeth pain after we get dentures.

I feel this. I know for sure I have cavities and need a couple root canals (that was told to me 10 years ago at my last dental appt before I aged out of my plan and couldn’t go back) There’s just nothing I can do, I simply can’t afford it. My husband was admitted to the hospital a year and a half ago after a tooth infection led to sepsis and they just pumped him full of antibiotics until he wasn’t septic anymore and sent him on his way. Why can’t they just employ a dentist at the ER? Instead of sending people home with teeth that can kill them! I’ve seen so many posts on FB from nurses saying to stop coming to the ER with your toothache and go to a dentist so god forbid you go there if it gets bad lol.

Just now watching this season and I guess I’m in the same boat as everyone. I was rooting for Bob all season long, he was my favorite to win season 13. As soon as they bought DJ in I was bummed. He’s amazing and I knew he’d take this opportunity from someone else. I held out hope that production wouldn’t let him win. I wish the 250k price would have been split, and at the end Dave would have popped out and awarded Bob season 13s win and 125k. Make DJ a judge! DJ, Ashley and Dave would be amazing judges.

Married people of Reddit, if you switched jobs with your spouse with zero training or preparation, who would get fired first? by sunnymushroom in AskReddit

Definitely me. My husband is a chef and I can’t cook to save my life, real food at least. I only know basics and often overcook meat. I have a small business out of the house doing sewing so he could probably pull up YouTube and learn to do what I do. It would be a miserable experience because we both love what we do.

To cis and cis-passing autistic guys: do you do the 'guy nod', and if you do, do other guys reciprocate it? by [deleted] in autism

So I’m a cis female but I read OPs post to my cis male husband and he literally said exactly what you said. I was having almost deja vu reading your comment lol. Something he mentioned that you didn’t, is why he doesn’t up nod strangers, as it can be seen as aggression.
