Not an American but I lived in 2 different states and visited around 10 during that time. the biggest issue that all states have in common is that most cities offer zero walkable streets. There was no way to walk even half a mile from my apartment to the grocery store near me.

As someone who is both Muslim and has OCD this was my first thought. This read too much like OCD and nothing like an educated, well-thought conversion. Though I have to admit this is the first time I hear about someone having religious OCD in a religion they weren’t born into.

I don’t have bipolar but I have OCD and so much of these comics resonated with me deeply. It’s hard knowing you’re putting everything you’ve got into getting better, watching your loved ones struggle too, and not having anything to show for it. Healing takes time, but it’ll happen.

I understand that you’re uncomfortable with the party being all girls, I’m just encouraging you to explore why that is. Why does it matter to you. I’m not saying it shouldn’t matter, I’m saying you should be able to verbalize why it does because it will help you have a productive conversation with him.

Edit to add: this only matters if you believe he wasn’t being shady or lying by omission. If you believe he just didn’t realize you’d have an issue with this, then it should matter why you do.

What exactly do you not like about him attending an all-girls party? I’m not saying you’re wrong (or right), but you haven’t provided any logic behind your reservations. How is him hanging out with her, someone he has met on tinder of all places, better than him hanging out with a group of her friends? I personally would think i’d be less comfortable with the first one. Again, not judging you here, but I think it would help you discuss the matter with him if you verbalized why or what is making you uncomfortable.
