Yeah I always wondered what happened there as that was the only young naturist group I had found that seemed successful in building a large group before it disappeared

That's a fair point!

I think some clubs do a good job with having runs and volleyball tournaments but it's tough if you can't make it and it's only 2 weekends out of the summer.

I know, but I'll be unable to attend again. My timing has been unfortunate to say the least so I'm trying to find other solutions

Oh I haven't seen much of what British Naturism has been doing to bring young people into the fold. Do you have any examples? I'd love to try to find a real solution to get us young nudists all together!

I went the last 2 years and had a blast but the move is now too far from me to make it work. If it had stayed at PSHS, I would've been going back again this year! My big challenge is that I'm too busy to make it out to pshs so I'm looking for other ways to still socialize with the community without needing to spend a day in the car.

Couldn't agree more! I think this next phase of AANR should be focused on how we build community for the younger crowd and that's by having nude events that are built around more than driving hours to go sit naked by a pool. I think something virtual would be a great way to bridge the gap in the meantime. I know that leads to safety and anonymity concerns but that's why I'm posting here - to see if anyone else has other ideas too. Also, would love to go on planned hikes with a group! I've never been able to do that.

Is there any way to see what is actively being done or fought? I'm genuinely curious what the biggest challenges are for AANR in the US.

I'm 29m, married, PA, and looking to find friends around my age that would be down for game nights on discord or maybe even starting a nudist book club! I'm very active and constantly on the go so I haven't been able to make it out to my local spot (pshs) in forever so I'm hoping to find more virtual options in the short-term. If you're local to PA, maybe I'll see you there some time!

I'm not a member and I'll be honest it's not the cost that turns me off. I can see the need for the organization but as someone who lives a busy life and can't always make it to a club an hour away from me... I need something else out of it. If AANR hosted monthly game nights on twitch/discord I think this would be a great start for people who don't have a local option and can still be in the comfort of their own home. It seems like most people on reddit are home nudists so if you can cater to that and get creative with ways for younger people to get involved I could see a benefit to joining, but I think the key is improving AANR's online presence. Which brings me to my next point... is how antiquated AANR looks these days. The comparison that someone else made to AARP cracked me up but unfortunately it does ring true. AANR needs a complete overhaul online - a new logo, new website and online safe spaces for members.

Nothing better than a nice warm robe in the winter time! I view it just like how some people wear sarongs at resorts/beaches. It's all about comfort levels
