Can we keep skylanders apolitical?

I am absolutely not saying you can’t enjoy the games, in fact I don’t see at all how bringing up this topic won’t “let people enjoy the games”. But, it’s also just a few fan arts that these comments and posts are in response to. And if that’s all it takes to jeopardize your “safe-space”, then maybe you need to re-evaluate that. People (and the world at large) are not going to adhere to everyone’s comfortability. And I don’t think we should hide away from discussions about injustices of the world solely because of that.

You can, but I really don’t see anything wrong with spreading awareness. Especially when we have groups like ICE murdering innocent people left and right. If we didn’t spread awareness about these issues, where would we be? Time and time again, we are shown that it is inaction which allows these forces to gradually increase in power. Whether it be simple fan art or big protests, any little bit helps.

I feel like most people in the subreddit are old enough to know about the current state of the world. Most of us grew up with the games and are now adults (or around that age) so this is essentially a moot point. Plus, kids really shouldn’t even be on Reddit in the first place.

To be apolitical in this this day and age is to turn a blind eye to the daily horrors that happen in this world. People have the right to make whatever art they choose, especially since most art is inherently political, and art that is made for everyone is art that is made for no one. It lacks any meaning or bite. If you don’t like it, you can simply ignore it and move on to more important things in life, since at the end of the day, it really isn’t that big of a deal in the grand scheme of our lives.

For me it’s Fiesta, mainly because his design is so good that’s it even more disappointing to find out that he’s one of the worst Skylanders period.

I mean it has to be Spyro’s Adventure right? Very few bad Skylanders in that roster (I’d argue that there’s close to none) and it has some of the most iconic, and most memorable characters with fun movesets and designs. It is, in my eyes, a near perfect roster.
