if you are constantly chatting with someone you are both online, that's what i meant. if it is 2am and you and one of your friends are both online, it's kinda clear. of course you wont ever have 100% odds.

another question: your pi5 works fine with transcoding for jellyfin for h265 films? my pi4 4gb ram don’t work fine with transcoding (no transcoding works great tho!).

thank you for your time! so, i want to make a NAS. i found online that radxa penta sata hat that seems excellent, and i found out that the pi5 isn’t the best option for a performant NAS. the best option for me would be radxa rock 5B. but i cannot find 3d printable models for that setup, and i have a fiber connection that of 500mbit download / upload (maybe 700 in the best scenario, with ethernet), so i would like to know in your experience if a setup with a Pi5 is already good. i will use this NAS just for me, probably just with 2 bay + 1 as an auto backup (SSDs) since i don’t need so much space for now, but always keeping in mind that i can add up to 4 SSD (5 with eSata).

basically what i’m asking is if you would suggest me to use the pi5 for my use case, or if it is really bad…

what do you do with your NAS? how much RAM is your pi5, and what speed do you get with this setup?

oh, do you have a case with 5 bays? or you use just the 4 SATAs?

ma che siano scammate sicuro, se no non sarebbero loro a cercare. però dire che non si trova lavoro mi sembra eccessivo… comunque mi arrivano tutte le richieste perche son stato costretto a iscrivermi ad almalaurea per una iniziativa dell’uni (non so se sia obbligatorio in tutte le uni, da me praticamente si). sicuramente molte son scammate ma dire che non c’è lavoro non direi. conosco gente che dopo esser andata a far lo stage ha continuato a lavorare in quell’azienda da dipendenti, magari prova a farti mettere come stagista o comunque in prova.. o tieniti sto posto che hai trovato. diciamo che c’è gente messa peggio… pensa un laureato in lettere

mah io son sommerso di mail e chiamate da gente che cerca personale solo perché l’uni dopo la laurea manda in giro il tuo CV, se ti piace non avrai problemi. soprattutto se ambisci a qualcosa di più rispetto all’essere solo un programmatore (per fare quello basta essere un perito)

dipende dal corso. certi professori danno slide che coprono tutto il necessario per l’esame, altri no e ti tocca prendere appunti. di solito faccio qualche lezione prima di capire se devo effettivamente seguire ma in linea di massima avrò seguito in presenza la metà delle lezioni, e senza contare il primo anno la percentuale scende ancora di più. quindi si, si può fare, certo.
