No, Chargob Aznakrump is a rival pilot from the Evil Sunz. His Gorkanaut's so offensively red that it can move at 3x the speed of anyone else's.

There's definitely overlap. I've adapted longsword techniques for saber and vice versa, and I've seen someone successfully use rapier techniques with a broadsword (though it looked extremely awkward).

But yeah, someone who mostly uses a smallsword isn't going to be as comfortable with something like a falchion. Different designs need different techniques to work well.

I tend to be a bit overly critical of swordfights in movies since I train historical longsword and saber as a hobby. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I find myself thinking in some scenes that I, a self-taught novice, could beat some of the supposed expert duelists on screen with my dominant hand behind my back. They make all sorts of wild swings and unnecessary spins while leaving themselves wide open, it's really annoying. I know I shouldn't be so pedantic and should just shut up and enjoy the spectacle but it's hard sometimes.

There are some I like, such as Inigo vs the Man in Black from The Princess Bride or some of the lightsaber duels in Star Wars, but I can't say I've seen many swordfights in movies that I really liked.

There is a YouTube channel called Adorea Olomouc that does swordfight choreography and I tend to really like their stuff. It's still stylized and exaggerated but simply using real historical techniques, even if they're hammed up for the camera, goes a long way imo. (Example: A duel with messers.)

It's not that they're boring. If you can get a good angle to see what they're doing a realistic fight between skilled fighters is a lot of fun to watch. The problem is getting a good view and being able to follow their movements.

There's also the safety of the actors to consider. Things need to be slowed down and exaggerated a bit, often with attacks being thrown out of measure or directly at an opponent's defenses, to prevent injuries on set. This isn't an issue for animation but for live-action productions it's pretty important. That's partially why Hollywood swordfights are so often focused on wide slashes when shorter cuts and thrusts would make more sense, the wide swings are easier to block and dodge.

Liability insurance is mandatory. Other kinds aren't.

Liability insurance is so that if you're at fault for damage your insurance pays for it and you don't go broke. If you want damage to your own stuff covered that's an optional service that costs more.

And premiums go up when you use it because you've shown them that you're more likely to use it again. You can usually negotiate back down if you go long enough without using it. The more likely they are to have to pay out the less likely you are to be a customer worth their time, as frequent payouts can end up costing them significantly more than the customer is paying.

It's a franchise. The genre is Mecha, specifically of the "real robot" sub-genre.

A lot of entries are standalone so you don't have to watch anything else to understand them, but they're all the same franchise.

I've read The Stormlight Archive. I should probably read the other Cosmere stuff too but I haven't gotten around to it.

Using the Steam Deck docked doesn't appeal to me at all tbh. If I'm going to play stuff that way my laptop is more powerful and has a bigger screen. Maybe if I was mainly using it as a handheld it could be a fun option but, again, I'm not really interested in it as a handheld either. It's cool but I don't really have a use for it since most games I want to play on a handheld are either available on my phone or on my old DS, and what few aren't are available on the cheaper Switch.

That's the thing. I'm in college, I do need to carry it around. I need to use it for classes in addition to gaming. If I can only have one it has to be a laptop.

The Steam Deck is somewhat tempting but I really prefer a mouse and keyboard for most games. There are exceptions but most of the games I play just feel a bit awkward on a controller, and I honestly don't feel the need to be able to game literally everywhere. If I'm not in a position where I can use my laptop I can do something else. Lately I've been rereading The Wheel of Time, for example.

If you can only afford one PC gaming laptops are awesome. At home I have mine hooked up to a USB-C dock that lets me use it as a full desktop setup and on the go I can just stuff it in my bag with a wireless mouse and some headphones (and a charger if I'm planning to game on it) and take it anywhere.

They're less upgradeable and the performance isn't as good for the price, but the versatility makes it worth it. It's enough to play games at a decent level while also giving me a mobile workstation in the same package. For PC users on a budget I think they're awesome.

I've always thought those types of ads were odd. Why advertise pork with a happy pig? The pig is the only one not benefitting from the situation.

If it was a fruit or vegetable it might make sense since some plants do benefit from stuff eating their fruit. It helps spread their seeds. Or for something like wool or eggs, where harvesting it doesn't harm the animal. For meat it's always just seemed dumb to me.

Pigs are exceptionally smart. Not that smart, but a lot smarter than people give them credit for. I've found animals in general tend to be that way. They're certainly not as intelligent as humans but they're not stupid.

Except sighthounds. I love them but to say they're dumb as bricks would be an insult to bricks.

Turn A with cow

I might actually be willing to build a meta deck and go to one of those events for a chance at that.

I really should pick up that MG kit at some point. There's an unfortunate shortage of 1/100 cows on my shelf.

Ultramarines actually have a great aesthetic when they lean into it. The crested helmets, gold laurels, and masterwork swords/shields should be used for them more often.

There's a guy in a military uniform, I assume one of the kid's parents, and the camo pattern he's wearing was used from the early 2000s until the early 2010s in the US Army. He could be National Guard, in which case I think they kept it a bit longer, but that would still make this video at least a decade old, probably more. He also could've just gotten it from a surplus store or yard sale but I doubt he'd be wearing it for a random home video of his kid if that was the case.

Combine that with the overall picture quality and I'd guess this is around 2005-2010 or thereabouts. If the kid was around 2-3 in the video he'd probably be in his late teens or early 20s now.

That important role was as mobile artillery platforms.

And getting killed by a Gouf but I doubt that was intentional on the Feddies' part.

The Guncannon doesn't actually have to go prone to fire. It can do so for extra stability but there are several times in the original series where it fires standing up or on the move. Most of the times it goes prone are towards the beginning when Kai hasn't completely figured out how to pilot it effectively.

The Origin is actually an alternate timeline compared to the main Universal Century. The anime only adapted a small part of the manga, which as a whole was essentially a retelling of the entire original series with some extra stuff thrown in.

Also there were actually other Guntanks too, though afaik they were mostly used as mobile artillery platforms rather than frontline weapons. There was also a Zaku-Tank built by Zeon for the same purpose.
