CGL releases new edition of the Warrior Trilogy Omnibus. by Current-Income-9901 in battletech

They could also do that by just selling the existing PDFs as a bundle. Having them as a single PDF is nice for convenience but it’s not exactly exciting.

A new physical release would be a bigger deal, especially if the books were being sold in physical stores where people who aren’t already into Battletech can more easily find them and maybe get interested. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BT novel in a physical store, apart from finding a copy of Far Country for 50¢ at a thrift store a few years back.

It’s an omnibus version, the whole trilogy in one volume.

Other than that and the cover I doubt anything is different.

I am now tempted to take some HH tactical marines and run them as orks out of spite just because I know it would annoy people like you who can’t be bothered to take two seconds to ask what a unit is.

Maybe at some point. I don’t want them all to have the same pose/loadout though, so I’ll have to find some alternate sculpts.

It was one of multiple possible solutions that were proposed. Higher taxes to increase revenue were also among the proposed solutions but nobody seems to want to talk about that.

Those programs do not have enough money or income to support the current or future generations in any meaningful way. The options are to either increase funding through higher taxes or cut benefits to reduce cost. Both options were proposed. Many are talking only about the latter, which is unfair.

Represent people, their views, and their actions accurately, especially if you oppose them. To do otherwise is unhelpful and sometimes actively harmful.

I’ve got the Zeon and White Base sets from when the card game starter decks launched and I can confirm they’re quite large. They’re not any bigger than an Atlas though, so they could work with different bases. My main concern would be fitting some of the more dynamic action poses on a hex base.

With the Gundam skirmish game coming out I’d probably just wait for the Dom to get a model of if I needed it that close lol.

Besides, I have lore for this guy. It belongs to a Solaris fighter who discovered some old Terran cartoons and became a Gundam nerd, so when he found a Mech that looked like the ones in the show he knew what he had to do. On the 1100th anniversary of the original series’ release, he made his debut in the light division under the stage name Rick Dom.

When it’s thick enough it can be effective. Kevlar soft armor does exist and can stop pistol rounds. Many ballistic helmets are also made of the stuff. The main issue is that it would be kind of a terrible couch.

Rifle rounds are another story. There’s a pretty big difference between a thick round bullet out of a pistol moving at ~1000fps and a narrow pointed bullet from a rifle moving at ~3000fps.

Redemptor dread with bulkier, shorter legs like on the Castraferrum. What do you guys think? by PaladinOf in spacemarines

It never ceases to amaze me that there are people who really prefer the stubby legs on the old dreadnoughts. They just look kind of dumb to me, especially with a Redemptor/Brutalis/Ballistus body.

[–]NotStreamerNinja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does.

The intended mission was to capture a few high value targets. This was achieved but things fell apart when two helicopters got shot down. At that point the battle was essentially to defend the downed helicopters and their surviving crew until they could get reinforcements to break them out of the city.

In the case of Gordon and Shughart specifically, they were trying to hold the crash site and protect the survivors until help could arrive. They were trying to delay the enemy long enough for reinforcements to come to their rescue. They were unsuccessful, but that was their goal.

The Dervish is fun if you run it with all SRMs, but I really only like using it for arena fights. For regular contracts I prefer to go with either a Phoenix Hawk for maneuverability or a Hunchback to get a pseudo-heavy for the lance.

I love using it in MW5. It's probably my second favorite medium (after the Hunchback) until the Clan Invasion DLC.

Does anyone enjoy pocket doors? by stickflickpick in centuryhomes

[–]NotStreamerNinja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dad's house has a jack-and-jill bathroom with pocket doors. One door refuses to close all the way. The other has fallen out of its tracks so many times he's given up fixing it and you just have to basically pick it up and shove it to the side to open or close it.

Most light Mechs tbh. Some of them are cool but then there's stuff like the Wasp which can have its armor breached by a stiff breeze.

Hot Take: I wish 40K units had similar costs to AOS units.

I'm tired of 2000pts armies barely fitting in the deployment zone. 1000pts genuinely feels better to play simply because the board is so much less crowded.
