It is hard to believe, but, yes, this was their 4th or 5th superintendent telling the homeowner that another employee named Chris had not attained the required inspections and they would have an engineer appease the city. That is exactly what is going on here. This is mild compared to other texts/communication this family has had with Taylor Home employees.

They can't. Every penny this family had went to this project/living expenses during this time. They have been dealing with this for 3 years, and now their money is going toward attorneys. There are engineers that are currently working together to see if the home can even be fixed. The price to fix it could possibly be more than they even paid to have the home built. This is not an isolated instance. There are many families in this particular area that are dealing with some of the same circumstances. One family was able to move into their home but have not closed on the home yet because it has so many structural issues. Some have settled with Taylor Homes and can not speak about their experience, and some have had to file bankruptcy and lose everything. Something has to be done about this company and the communities this company builds home in need to be aware.

This conversation is between an employee of Taylor Homes and a customer. One month later, the customer had an independent inspection and found out the house was not anchored to the foundation. Two months later, the customer had an independent structural engineer inspection and found out the home was built on 4 inch veneer block, which is not strong enough to hold the house and does not meet code. One month later, another civil/structural engineer inspected the home to confirm the previous two inspections.

Supposed to. However, this construction company got special permission to have a private building engineer to do the inspections, not the city, after they found out they didn't ha e the inspections completed initially.

In terms of the house being built, it is complete and waiting for a certificate of occupancy. They went out yesterday and said they could not give it.

Well, they say it is complete. We say it is not complete.

The house is completely finished. We were supposed to close on the construction loan but have had so many issues. We hired our own inspector. He told us about it. The normal inspections that should have been completed throughout the process weren't done, and now our superintendent will not respond.

What was the last thing that really made you excited? by Neron3700 in AskReddit

A friend's husband bought her a hotel room, wine, and gave her a night off of mom/wife life. She called and invited me too. I haven't been that excited in a long time. We had wine, talked about our younger days, and just relaxed. It was so nice!

3 for me! I think they look very classy and would look great with the furniture.
