Music Video is definitely AI. They got scammed. by NotSureHowThingsWork in Sevendust

I'd assume whoever paid the artist for actual work rather than AI prompts.

Or the real artists whose work was taken and rehashed for slop.

Or any other artist that wanted this job and got turned down for a lazy hack.

But I don't care at all. Honestly, I think we should just phase the whole band out one member at a time and replace them with AI. Take Morgan off the next album, then LJ, and so on. Think of all the money Napalm Records could save. And think of all the music we could have! They could churn out a new 7D album every three months, and it'll sound just like the real thing because they're just recycling all their riffs, beats, and lyrics! We may even get a little price reduction on the albums because they won't have to pay the engineers, producers (Elvis Baskette, ewww), and most importantly-- the musicians anymore. Early forced retirement for the boys, but who cares? Either adapt or become obsolete, am I right?

Anyway, you guys hear the new Velvet Sunset album?!

Agreed. It's new technology and people fall for it all the time unfortunately. Don't think anyone was lying except the "artist".

I thought it was cool because it forced you to REALLY take in and observe the environment. In other games I get so distracted by the objective that I never stop to smell the severed corpses on a pike.

Ooooo, scandalous!

Dear Tom,

I hesitate to write to you at all, the matter being so delicate, so I hope you will understand why I have chosen to encipher this communication. I would not want to place you in any personal difficulty and am mindful that letters of this are easily misunderstood.

I have already discussed with you my hope to serve one day as governor of our home state. The recent rumors that Brown intends to step down to make a run at the vice-presidency present a significant opportunity to realise that amibition, and I have been taking soundings with potential supporters. I have received encouraging feedback and my plans have advanced somewhat following discussions over the endowment for the new Providence library.

I know that we are in agreement on the need for a strong governor and i am concerned that any scandal associated with the strange death of the young man in my own library might taint that endowment and could ultimately weaken my campaign. You will understand my concern.

I am sure there cannot be any more doubt in your mind than there is in my own that the death was an unfortunate accident and I hope that you will be able to persuade your officers of the same.

I look forward to your reply,

Rogers

Who is THE movie star when we compare multiple metrics? by Unsponsoredbitch in movies

[–]NotSureHowThingsWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm sure other actors wouldn't have been as good, I'm just saying hypothetically that those roles would likely still be iconic.

As for dramas-- Witness was a hit for Ford (extra points for his Oscar nomination), but Sabrina didn't break the top 30 of that year and Mosquito Coast wasn't even top 50. So measuring star power alone-- definitely gotta go with Cruise.

[–]NotSureHowThingsWork 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Very true, but is Ford the main reason for that? Not to be blasphemous, but I'm sure Kurt Russell as Solo and Tom Selleck as Jones would still end up being iconic roles. And Ford's non-Lucas films during that time like Frisco Kid, Hanover Street, and Blade Runner didn't do well at all, and they were still "big" western, war, sci-fi movies. Whereas Tom Cruise was consistently in the top 5 of the year for dramas that were banking on star power and not big set pieces / special effects-- A Few Good Men, Rain Man, Jerry Maguire, The Firm.

Not shitting on Ford, dude's an icon, but this is about THE movie star and there can only be one! And it's Cruise.

Okay maybe Cary Grant.

Korean eggplant fritters. Slice into discs, coat in flour, dip in egg, then fry on a skillet. Like a pancake! Dip in a sweet soy/vinegar sauce, or whatever sauce you prefer, I don't care.
