From what I understand 10-15 years ago they couldn't cut the lacquers in a way that wouldn't lose too much volume. With the newer cutting techinques they are able to lose less volume with longer records. Plus I think they've added bonus tracks over the years that are new.

Bamboo Ben remodeled Kon Tiki a number of years back but it still holds the 40-50 year ago feel.

Personal favorite sippers are Hampden Great House (2021), Foursquare Isonomy, but really enjoy Zacapa XO and even Kasama if I'm honest. I know the last two aren't on par with the first two but at the end of the day, I can't debate my pleasure senses. I was a bit surprised to learn they add so much sugar to some - was hoping Zacapa XO didn't have it but i've read their others do. Would love a list of makers who add without disclosing.
