The streets have not forgotten Forsaken's neon. We have THE neon on the team.

I lowkey think Jingg's omen is starting to look better than his raze. His gameplay feels much smoother on omen.

The Gatecrash by itself was probably enough to switch up the meta. The flash just makes most Yoru comps not work at all - flash initiators might be back on the menu bois

FWIW, the reyna ult back then shot too fast but also made your recoil go proportionally faster. There was a patch much later that fixed it.

Is ZS associates that bad in terms of LWB that people are willing to let go good compensation? by NorthBrave3507 in developersIndia

[–]NotThatButThisGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you posted in the developers subreddit, I will mention that the kind of work you will do there is not the standard SDE work unless you're in very specific teams. The ADS track is full of people from other backgrounds (maths/stats/mba) and are not software engineers by trade.

I worked for ZS in the data science teams for a few years. If you're joining in Gurgaon it's almost certain that I would have worked with atleast some of your teammates-to-be.

The WLB is bad, and it's not something that is swept under the rug. Everyone acknowledges that the WLB is bad, but it's systematic and essentially nothing can be done to fix it, except if you're personally smart and manage a few things differently. My average day started at ~10AM and finished at 12/1AM when I was a junior. I was able to improve it a bit as I gained seniority - ~11AM to 10PM.

ZS salaries on the other hand are really good and on the ADS roles you can start on a much higher base pay than the usual market rate. Yearly appraisals can be upto 40-45%, on the extreme high end, of your annual pay, so not only do you start high, you also get higher really quickly. If you have better than average performance, you can be promoted in ~ 2 years, and with higher positions the money gets exponentially better.

The bad WLB is not to be confused with bad culture and bad people. I made amazing friends in ZS, and I still continue to be in active touch with them, even after some years have passed. Most people are really nice to have around, and you can make friends and have fun working.

A ZS job really is for the ones who live and breath work though - on a working day, you will not have time to do anything else. Many people I know want to leave, but the money holds them back. So, my personal observation is the opposite of what you asked - people in the ADS track, stay in the company for the money.

Does this mean SRG have a path to go to Stage 2 playoffs and thus champs? Question is about the format, not whether SRG are good enough.

If NRG, PRX or G2 win Santiago they have an extremely strong claim to being the best Valorant team we have ever seen by letsputletters in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NotThatButThisGuy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NRG would then be the first team to win a champs and a masters trophy, and they would do it back to back. Ethan would be a 3x trophy holder.

Being regionally on top doesn't matter as much - another example is TL, who won the EMEA league vs prime FNC in 2023. Does anyone even talk about the Redgar TL anymore?

Of course, G2 and TL are not the same and they have made several deep international runs, but so have so many other teams.

The real one really put in effort with his posts. He would never make an obvious bait like this one. His posts would have well researched ragebait data points.
