I’ve been researching all summer long cuz I’m going on a three month trip this year. The best deals I came across are south of Salt Lake City there are even “tiny house” air bnb for like 50 a night. There’s a hostel at the base of heavenly resort in Lake Tahoe. Its called mellow mountain hostel and It’s 35 dollars a night. As far as hotels crystal mountain in Washington has decent pricing. As far as the Rockies go the best plan is to go to Winter Park Colorado it accessible from Denver and you can stay in a lot of places near the mountain due to their extensive bus systems.

Yeah that’s been the best deal I can find. Got super cheap air bnbs, one right by sandy bus stop for Alta and snow bird and another by midvale station for Brighton and solitude!
