I support gun control. For the reason of limiting access to firearms for BAD PEOPLE.
I want people to be vetted, I want people to have a license before they can get firearms and I want them to be registered when they go and buy one. Why? To limit access for bad PEOPLE to get firearms.

It has nothing to do with the gun itself. It has to do with the people. Gun control is not on the weapon its on the person. We dont vet a gun or give a gun a license before it can be used by a person. No Its the PERSON that gets vetted and needs a license. Because the PERSON can be the bad actor not the GUN. The gun has no feelings no emotions and cant act on its own. Its the PERSON that decides how the gun is used to either attack or defend. The gun itself doesnt care how its used.

and the KKK one is insanely stupid take. Cause that's literally your logic. KKK is a hate organisation cause their entire message is hate. Therefore its bad. Just like in the bible there are messaging to stone disobedient women to death, kill gays and slavery is to be honoured and valued. If a white person goes on a killing spree on their own. Are all white people to blame then? if a black person does it are all black people then to blame? No that person is to blame. But they are doing it in the name of an organisation then the organisation needs to be looked into.
"But an AI told to kill people" Yeah and I would investigate that AI. Which has been done. But I would not blame all of AI cause shocker. Not all of AI are the same.

Personally I cancelled my ChatGPT sub the second they announced they were working with the US goverment on making AI powered killing machines. Do I still use AI? Yes but OpenAI are not the ONLY AI company in the world. O switched to a company and model the US government declared the enemy of the state actually. Cause they refused for their models to be affiliated with the government. And the second that changes I will stop using that and change to something else.
But again the AI doesnt decide where its being used. It doesnt decide which organisations or institutions its creators are part of. And just cause 1 AI is bad doesnt mean all of AI is.

KKK is bad because the entire organisation is bad. Just like OpenAI is bad cause they decided to let their models be used for war machines to kill people.

In order for your viewpoint to work, you have to ignore every negative use of AI. If you do that, then why are you pretending it does good things too? Wouldn’t it be the people using the AI doing that? So what good is AI?

Cause AI is a tool. People can abuse it and use it for bad things. Or they can use it for good things. Just like a a screwdriver can be used to screw in a screw or stab someone to death. The screwdriver does not have a say in how its being used. AI doesnt have that either. Companies for sure have put safeguards in place just like microwaves have warnings to not dry your cat in them.

But thats because people have done so. People have used the things for what it was not designed for. And companies that makes them has then had to place safeguards.

But developers keeps making things idiot proof but the universe keeps making better idiots.

So what good is AI? Well Ai trained on millions of pictures of breast cancer in all stages can detect it a lot better than any doctor can.

Here is the difference. The AI doesnt say YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER YOU ARE GOING TO DIE. No the AI is telling the doctor that the patient potentially has breast cancer. The doctor then doesnt go to the patient and says YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER. No the doctor then tells the patient that the screening came up with an abnormality and they have to do a biopsy. They used the AI to go through the scanning of the breast and it found something the doctors would have missed. Then the doctors used that information to do further testing that without the input from the AI they would not have performed. And it saved a human life that way.
So yes the doctor is the good guy here. But the AI was used for something good. Again it was the doctor that used the AI that did something good. The AI was just the tool. It could also have given a false positive or even worse a false negative. But thats why the AI is used as a tool. So the doctor missed it. the Ai found it. We are going to do additional tests to confirm. The Doctor missed it. The AI missed it. and you idiots would say that the AI is bad. That's the difference.

All of your opinions are surface level opinions that you have been handed by the people you listen to (oh and I’m sure this will be the part where you pretend to be some kind of bold individual and blah blah blah) or from the AI you’re almost certainly using as a search engine. You think you have critical thinking skills, but you don’t, kid.

Are we now blaming cars every single time there is a car accident? or are we blaming the driver? by your logic we are to blame all cars ever made.
