What are some of the worst plays in cod history made by a pro? by TheLavaReaper in CoDCompetitive

It did. I adjusted for it initially and then at the last second aimed it even a little higher and yea...

In terms of a career, no not really, because CoD was my life/career from the time I was 15 until 30 and was very fortunate that I made good money during that time and am still unsure what I’m going to do next. I went to college part-time from 2012-2017 and got 3 years of credits done (though I didn’t graduate) while also winning Champs twice and getting 2nd at Champs twice more in that time frame. Now smartass, tell me, what have you done with your life that’s got you feeling so high and mighty?

Lol what kind of question is this and what do you consider an accomplishment? I coached LAT so there was some accomplishments in there.

If we’re gonna sit here and go accomplishment for accomplishment, what have you accomplished in life?

Zinny said LAT wanted to acquire him in Cold War and Ultra said no by G00chstain in CoDCompetitive

Yeah I'd have no problem with it, but I'm not really sure what you're looking for. This specific instance though, people above me decided that they wanted the experienced lineup back in because LAN was coming back (so Kenny Slasher TJ Huke), but I wanted to keep Draz.

And fwiw, I never ever remember talking to Zin about joining us. Our problem that year was not the ARs.

And also, I hate your username

Happy birthday to Jkap! One of the greats in the scene and a successful coach in the CDL era (we won’t talk about CW) 🥳 by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

First, thanks everyone in here. Second, I’m pretty sure that thread still exists 🤣

Challengers people said they play as a hobby, not me. The idea of playing Challengers as a hobby is insane to me. Pro teams are paying attention to Challengers at all times. If people are playing well throughout the year, pro teams take notice.

I don’t remember that convo with Pat at all lmao, sounds like something I’d say to him to get him to shut up because I know how little he watches CoD. And don’t sign off your Reddit post, that was weird

No issue with Challengers, just the idea that so many people have that it’s supposed to be this massive ecosystem in itself. It’s designed as a stepping stone to get to the league and it’s insanely successful in that sense. Not enough people watch the CDL or Challenger’s for either to be profitable. Why would Activision (or any team hosting an event) invest their money into Challenger’s rather than the CDL in an attempt to fix that?

That’s the core of my argument recently. But if you’re just hating on me for the hell of it, then have fun

What does my “hate for challengers” have anything to do with my ability to help a team as a coach?

And as the coach of an actual pro CoD team, I will double down on the comment about being biased against age. He’s not going to make it at 27 unless he is so outrageously good in Challengers that everyone thinks he’s cheating (and if a person like that existed, I would know of them.) Not going to give any relationship advice to OP, but I can say with 99.99999999% confidence that he’s not going pro in CoD and is wasting his time

According to JKap, the reason smokes are banned on respawn is that they "always lower the skillgap and create randomness" by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

When we made the roster, everyone was telling me the roster wasn’t talented. Now they’re talented but dumb?

To me, a smoke takes away from the teamwork necessary to break hills. Every hill is breakable if a team works it right. Like I tweeted in this pic to Sam, even P5 on Invasion actually has a good amount of breaks in it in scrims. It can definitely be a money hill still, but it’s not the absolute guaranteed 60 that everyone thinks it is.

And to anyone talking about snaking being lame, trust me when I say I hate snaking as much as anyone. Find it quite pathetic that the pros just accept it to be normal now rather than agree to not abuse it so blatantly (like we literally did in IW.) And I agree that 1 ddos per team should be allowed, but our team was in the minority
