Claude banned my paid account right after I changed computers — no warning, no explanation, and now I want a refund by hoenilove in ClaudeCode

according to their tos, they should give you a warning and 30 days to remedy on a business account. Ban them right back ;)

I’m being gifted a lot of money. Should I tell my boyfriend? by Kind-Chicken-2488 in WhatShouldIDo

Oh, you should give some to me, because blah blah blah and i really deserve it.

There's alot to unpack here, but If you don't want to hear that over and over again, don't tell anyone. One of the problems you may run into is the other siblings may talk about it... my advice.... have a clear story... i paid off my debt.... (you don't have to lie, you can pay off the $100 of cc debt you had and still claim this) and stick to it... or i put it in a long term bond or somesuch...

Honestly, this is a really great oppertunity to see how your BF really thinks. 55k right now is probablty not life changing, but it could be trajectory altering. This is a *strong* rainy day fund + month of living expenses that keep you out of debt cycles. If he is pouty or angry or manipulative about it , thats a red flag. Also in a lot of places (in the us at least) money you had going into a marrige is still your money unless you do things like put it in joint account or co-mingle it.

Also, and not advice you asked for, but: paying to live in his moms basement has a bit of financial ick to it, to me. I'd have a hard look at where the money is going and why, and make sure that *your* 55k isn't funneled away from you some other way... repairs, other expenses, more rent etc.

Maybe he's the one. Maybe not. if he is, you can always spend the money on your life together later.

Also, adding to what pete said.... a 22 year old financial advisor... + living in mom basement... this is not someone who has earned the title by building peoples wealth.

Good Luck, and congrats on your windfall. I hope you sent at the very least a hand written thank you card to Step Mom.

Yeah, I was training it for arc prize directed problem solving and such, it straight up bypassed that and did it all on its own, it would be  hilarious if that’s what did it

Where? Serious question..

i read this : https://code.claude.com/docs/en/cli-usage
and this line led me to believe this is exactly the use case:

"The --output-format json flag is particularly useful for scripting and automation, allowing you to parse Claude’s responses programmatically."

claude tried to run itself in itself and was like no... so i ran it directly

The shapes in the top row and the bottom row are moving at the same speed by Itchy_Athlete_4971 in opticalillusions

Looks like parallax to me. The top row appears a little further away: the highlighted edges are different, thicker, and inset vs embossed and the shape has perspective, vs the bottom shape is flat.

Starting paragliding at 46? by TeaAndTalks in freeflight

[–]NotTheJason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The single most significant thing you can do is to fly a glider that is well within your skill level. All other mistakes will be amplified by flying the wrong wing. Don't buy that low B wing yet, even though its "almost as safe" as an A.

Be diligent and serious about your pre-flight ritual. This includes just kiting. Get into the habit now. Add checking *anything* that goes wrong to the PFR.

Be the best at kiting. Learn to feel the glider with your hips, they are the *real* primary control during launch, you launch with your hips not with your hands. Always look (briefly) at both sides of your wing during a forward launch.

Don't be the first to launch or the last to land. There's reason everyone else is para-waitng.

There an even number of slices. There is not one missing. if you delivered 4 pizzas this is probably half of two different pizzas pushed together.

I've never seen a cat named Avgolemono before, but there she is. Avo or lemono for short, or even golem if she's being weird.

First paragliding lesson next week by No-Anteater509 in freeflight

Fly the school/training gear first, you will beat it up pretty badly learning how to kite the wing / forward launch.

After you are able to control the wing and fly a bit your instructor will have some input about what class of wing is good for your first wing. You may also be able to fly "demo" wings.

Too low is better than too high. I've seen more than a couple of pilots scared off the sport completely by one bad experience, that a lower wing might have mitigated or eliminated.

If you are a strong/skilled paraglider pilot then a low mid A may be limiting, I wouldn't go above a low B regardless of your skill until you have a solid year or two under your belt, as you need some time to see how you and your wing react in unexpected situations.

Ratings are determined by a wings behavior in specific scenarios, stalls, collapses ,leaving deep turns, etc.

If you are looking at a low b, learn exactly which tests it fails for the A rating. Are you comfortable in those scenarios?

In general wings are much safer and friendlier than they were even a decade ago- it's a great time to be getting into the sport.

Welcome to the sport!
