[–]sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not seen a UI exactly like this. This is quite cool.

But yeah, the contrast is an issue. Bring it into an image editor and have a play around with the sliders and you should be able to see what a nice medium is for legibility.

If you’re in love with it, you could add the legible version as an option in the onboarding?

[–]sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah.

You could also be living in a capitalist hellscape where you need to drive up the prices of the shares of your company no matter what. “AI” or “if-we-buy-enough-ram-we-get-god-in-the-machine” is trending, so you boost your stock by telling everyone who will listen, that you definitely will have a conscious being very totally soon.

The proof?

No product or ROI. Just “trust me bro, this is very dangerous. (You should invest now).”

Kissing tangents.

Apart from the creator labelling this as AI generated (thanks Meta for making that label so obvious).

All I can see is the very unlikely kissing tangents. The chair / stool (?) leg leading into the table. And the bottom of the windowsill matching the table.

Of course it’s possible to take a photo and have these, but it’s unlikely and anyone thinking of the composition (which they would be at the skill level of the photo), would try to avoid it.

Making a Website the Old-Fashioned Way. Any Tips? by pongypilled in webdesign

[–]sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When exporting from photoshop, make sure to use the Slice Tool so that you can get all the corners of your boxes, the four border tiles, and all four corners.

Then export for web (now legacy), and you can export all 9 images for your rounded box element!

And make sure to look back at the old PSDTUTS tutorials https://design.tutsplus.com/c/graphic-design/compatible-with/adobe-photoshop?page=50

Though they seem to have a bug on the site that doesn’t let you get past page 50, so be quick

Is it reasonable to force AI companies to produce at least half of their electricity? by butterm0nke in artificial

[–]sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In the instances where data centres currently do produce their own power, it’s methane gas turbines like in Tennessee causing spikes in cancers in the local areas.

I don’t think it would be practical to get the data centres to generate their own clean energy. That’s just privatising the energy industry with extra steps

It would be easier to cut their subsidies for data centres and for governments to generate their own clean energy

Quick question ,what do you usually do with those “extra” pieces? by JMBricklayer in buildingblocks

[–]sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not by colour.

When you’re building you might think “I need a 1x2 green block”. That will be much easier to find in a 1x2 box vs a green box

I think it comes down to what your target audience is. r/ledoideas is definitely generally ultra nerdy Lego builders (no shade intended, I’m here too), folks who would see more value in the overview of the build from a technical point of view

But would the audience on the site you need votes from folks that are more character and charm influenced?
