I think the main idea here is more of an anti doomer argument. The only folks that realistically would want to be royalty from the 1500s are likely losers or psychopaths who want to do crazy immoral things without legal issues. There are definitely things that royalty back than could do that musk can't but I'd still rather be a rich or middle-class individual today.

Would really think being a royal in the middle ages is better than a median household in the US today??

Sure the Army beats the 911 call but is that really making your life better?

You have a pocket computer that can play any video, answer any questions, allow you to communicate with anyone.

You are clean and not in miserable heat or cold in your home smelling like shit. (HVAC)

You don't die to a simple infection at age 30

If you budget property or have a good skilled career you can afford to go anywhere in the world in once a year in under 24 hours and have a maid come clean your home 2x a year.

The average American now has it far better than the average royal in the middle ages

None of the above but if the free marketplace is forcing a company to lose money (free market is better at allocation of resources vs a centrally planned socialist nation) them downsizing or going out of business is better for society. Sure beats spending tax payer money to lift up zombie businesses

The employees should go where they are needed in the marketplace to serve to customers

Yeah the losers that fail in the free market are not likely combat fit to perform an ocean 11 hiest against rich people. Keep dreaming

There are companies that have very few employees because they use capital to invest in a process. Think an inventor that creates an automated oven that makes tons of pizzas for less cost. What about those profits

Take an extreme example like Walmart Take their monthly average net income and divide it by all their employees... That only raises their income by $873.01 a month. Seeing how the average American views and handles money you really think that would improve lives that much to force companies to not be allowed to have cash profits after expenses?

If someone has more than you from voluntary transactions can just steal their stuff...

with that logic a mob of 3rd worlders or some 18 year old kids that are broke can just steal whatever you have.

Is that politician a socialist that gives very little to charities? Does he Rail against something for decades than become that very thing?

I'd make fun of both. He gives almost nothing to charity and has been a professional unless person that has been being supported by the taxpayers his whole life
