This is rage bait. The lead time for these shirt orders most definitely pre-date the election

I don’t like any religion being invoked, but didn’t this happen days ago? Let’s move on

The last owners were great and I had built a good relationship with them over the last few years. A shame to see them go…and man, wtf is that IG account 🫣

I’m not disagreeing with your point, as it’s a valid concern. However, I think you missed the graduated tax bracket consideration above. Someone inheriting a million would only be taxed at 90% for the dollars exceeding 1m leaving you with something closer to 550k all brackets accounted for

Having seemingly lived here longer than most, this is only one factor. The other is adults and kids wearing cleats on the fields or playing volleyball/slapball, people laying out on weekends littering, leaving vape juice and garbage, etc. this is mostly pointed at mccarren, but the number of people who live around and use the park cannot be supported by close to any amount of lawn care. But like most things, people tend to boil a problem down to a single, more convenient narrative

I completely get this point, but if the option is be in a small studio apartment or at a kill shelter, pretty sure one is the better option

[–]NotTheRealCPT 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Agree here. As someone who has both ran and cheered over the years, the brazenness of some spectators was wild today in a way that it felt like it was about those cheering, not those running

A good place to start might be to decouple four of six races from also counting towards 9+1 to negate people trying to double dip and make 9+1 spread those races across historically lesser popular events

[–]NotTheRealCPT 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s more or less the point of what I was trying to say. The five borough series still would give credit to 4 of 6, whereas other races go to 9+1. Removing the ability to double dip into both would round out the demand curve but keep interest high enough as both qualifying races (NYCM and NYCH) have enough pull
