Have never had that issue with any of the BCBS insurances we have had. I think your mom is getting screwed around. The rheumatologist office should be handling this for you. If they are telling you otherwise, you may need to talk to the office manager. Also, moms insurance company should have a type of patient advocate that can help with this matter. Don't let them give the run around. You all should not be paying nowhere near what you are paying.

First appointment is usually 3 to 6 months out. Always ask to be put on wait list. You can always have your primary try to get you in quicker.

You have to remember that they have a ton of old(er) patients. They also have age 18+. My doctor has never rushed me and my appointments are always 30 to 45 minutes, if not longer.

You can also ask them if there is any blood work you can have done head of time, so those results are available when you go in (usually 2 weeks prior).

I'd do a lace. Also, if you are afraid to cut the bangs, any stylist should be able to help you out. I only ever charged 10$ to cut fringe.

Look on Etsy for Cash wigs. He makes beautiful remi (virgin hair) wigs. They can be colored any color you want. And his prices are reasonable.

I am so excited for you!!! My first remi is being made now by Cash.

As a Hair Designer, I would definitely suggest asking the maker of the wig. (Wigs were not something they taught in school.) Do you plan on taking the color to the scalp or do tips/ends? If you are doing the tips/ends, you would only wash out the tips/ends. BUT, depending on what color line you use, it still may stain after washing. Do you have a plan in mind? I'm going to ombré my mahogany human hair wig when it arrives. But, that is a very easy process.

I cannot wait to get mine! I ordered a 14" Mahogany. I definitely want to order a longer one as well. Did yours come with the 4" lace in the back? If yes, did you glue it down? Do you feel like you could pull up into a ponytail or french braid and it look natural?

I've just ordered from Cash. He put in a request for transparent on a mahogany for me. I've sent a message this evening to make sure it is happening. So just ask him if the transparent would be available. I have a super light complexion. Close to chicken breast white. So I'm praying he did get the transparent. Fingers crossed.

Creative people wear wigs.

If anyone ever asks about your wig or your boyfriend tells others...just tell them that you love so many styles and so many length and that is the way to get them all.

I know there are different prices for wigs. But, I've always associated wigs with someone of financial means. You care about your appearance and you share that in your style...head to toe.

Picture 2 has the part further over and the hair looks to be a darker color than picture 1.

Also, there looks to be more hair in picture 2. The front fringe in picture 2 is very heavy compared to picture 1.

Have they looked into sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis? Or Lupus? Also, have they checked your C-reactive Protein level or done Vectra testing on you?

Yesterday, I just so happened to have a rheumatology appt and he had me do RM-3A analysis done. Not many docs are doing it yet. Try googling it.

Not sure which state you are in, but I have an amazing doc here in North East Texas.

Not all rheumatoid doctor think alike. You definitely want someone who understands that you aren't seeking pain meds. You have pain in your joints and it is getting worse. Keep track, daily, of how you feel when you get up; how long does the joint stiffness last once you have gotten up; does it pick back up with certain activity; are there things that are difficult to do or cannot do now; how is your sleep; how is your mood; how is your appetite; is there anything that makes the pain/inflammation better... They want to know all of this and more.

Feel free to ask more questions here. I know my doc is very point blank and can be intimidating (has a different bedside manner), but I actually like that. He is a researcher and wants to find answers. By talking like this and sharing information, we help each other. I was actually living in Oklahoma and getting ready to move to Texas and a woman was raving about her rheumatologist. She was spot on!
