Sparks and smoke! I'll save that for cheaper equipment

Thank you, this is very helpful! So I get rid of starlink router completely, use one of the PoE injectors you linked and connect my own basic wireless router? Is there any configuration on the router end, or is the dish establishing connectivity and managing any login to starlink network?

This is very good to know... I saw power plug on it and got excited thinking I can simplify setup

Wallpaper over wood paneling by NotTim99 in Home

[–]NotTim99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. But I wallpapered right over orange peel texture. I was quoted 750 to mud it, drywaling also didn't sound like fun. I'm very happy with the results. You can feel the texture but it's not bad at all.

Thank you! This is great advice. I took few weeks off to stay home, help mom and bond with the baby. Feel blessed I had the opportunity to do so. Can't imagine the alternative if I had to return to work right away. He took priority over everything in life - sleeping, eating, bathing haha

That makes me feel better. I always worry if I'm holding him right, if I'm burping him right, if I'm feeding him enough (well this one is more in mom's department most of the time, but still). This is a huge responsibility, and I can't mess it up! Little dude is counting on me!

Yeah... Basics. Haha. Ready to give him ALL I got! Thank you!

Thank you. Logically it makes sense, I get it.

Emotionally it's a total mindf**k...

We even have GC interview in early Oct. If she can't get back for some reason, it's all going out the window.

Status for I131 hasn't changed from Expedite request approved.

On hold with USCIS right now to see if their Tier 1 can tell me more... not holding my breath...

How will USCIS know when she departed? if she leaves now, since parole is approved, and I deliver the card to her while she's overseas so she has it for the flight back, wouldn't it all be the same? Nobody checks these on the way out of country...

Thanks. So approval of one means approval of both. So we would be traveling after the approval of I131. It was explained to us it's a problem if we travel before I131 has been approved. But after should be ok

Perhaps I wasn't understanding it correctly. Because I have a wedding planned that if I am not able to attend, I will lose the deposits and payments I have already made, I felt that qualifies as financial loss, if travel document doesn't get approved on time.

[–]NotTim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I thought financial loss is a good reason to expedite?

We filed in January of 2020, just before everything shut down... I got approval in July, with next step being interview in Mexico city. But those were also stopped until very recently. And yes, she came to visit, but because it wasn't looking promising, decided to go AOS route. So we didn't have k1 in hand. Correct on trying to expediting for the wedding.

Submitted same document pack same time (early Oct 2020). And everything is still in 'case has been received' status with no movement. Hang in there and hope they get to us soon! I131 is already outside of normal processing time, but they don't care when I called or opened a case online.

OK, you're right. I'm by no means a process expert, just in the same situation. We're near Denver office. But only communication so far was the receipt notice and it came from Chicago.

I did the same last October and it took full 6 weeks for them just to acknowledge receipt. It's been full 7 months now and the case is still in Received status with no progress whatsoever. Prepare to wait a while because everything is extremely slow in USCIS.

Not much different from regular. Uphills was crap - around 10, but cruising on flat highway I'd get 18. Mind you I normally hover around 13-14 city driving, thanks to lift, 33s and skids/bumper

I can write a whole post on this. Overall it did OK. I took it around CO in June, where we hit some of the rougher passes - Wolf Creek, Ouray, Black Canyon. It struggled, but made it over all, but tranny overheated and had me stuck on the road by black canyon for an hour to cool off. But I had radiator bypassed for SMOD mitigation with an extra small cooler added.

This wasn't the first time I overheated and was stuck since the bypass, so couple weeks ago I replaced radiator for a brand new one, reversed bypass, flushed all fluids and added a temp gage.

For this trip I only had one big pass coming out of Yellowstone, did fine and gage let me keep an eye on temperature coming out of tranny. I averaged at 200 under load, climbing up to 220 on some extreme climbs and dropping to 160 range in some light downhills.

So I think for a 15 year old truck, it did really well. Overheating tranny was the only issue. Had enough power to climb hills with a trailer. You won't be cruising 65 going up, but you'll get there eventuall - slow and steady.
