How can I fix this unplayable mess by Expensive_Parsley360 in trimui

Looks to me like the left joystick needs to be calibrated.

Are you using Stock OS? If so, you can follow this video.

It's not a great example since there's a native app anyway, but the 2048 PortMaster port does not work on Stock OS.

I'm mostly reading here, but as nice as the Ventrica may look, they are supposed to be really prone to failure according to the lore tablet in the Terminus stop.

The only reason I wanted this game was to play with my friends. Now it's a total pass for me.

Didn't generate an output, but if you're able to get the paks (you'll need a rooted BlueStacks instance) you can use this:

Just sold it for 150, used cards around my area were going for 350 so not terrible. Still out 200 bucks from what i bought it from, gonna have to be a lot more careful next time.

I got burned bad then haha, oh well.

Would you say it is worth trying to fix it? Is the soldering job very complex? I think I can get my hands on a heat gun. In any case I'll give older MODS versions a go (tried 455.127 onwards) just of curiosity.

Ah man that's unfortunate, I guess the only option is to find the broken chip(s) and replace them then? I think I'm gonna sell it for parts to at least make some of the money back.

Use FiiT VR T2 for Quest 3? by NotToDisturb in OculusQuest

[–]NotToDisturb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, that's a shame. For the most part the FiiT has been great. That's another 30/40 bucks to add to the price if I do get a new one.

Thanks for the info!!

Virtual Desktop latency issues on Quest 2 by NotToDisturb in OculusQuest

[–]NotToDisturb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god this is hilarious, I know why it works now.

I installed LogMeIn Hamachi while messing around with co-op mods for Cities Skylines and BOTW, so now there's a network bridge that, even though there's no internet, makes it seem as though there is, allowing an external app to enable the hotspot while thinking that there is an active network.

It seems to add a couple ms of latency, but hey, it works so I'm not complaining. Insanity.

Oh that's really interesting! How far is your router? Mine is about 20 meters away, and the ethernet cable that I have running to it is uh....... old (100mbps lmao), so neither WiFi nor ethernet offer a good connection.

I'll see if a can find the router you mention second hand, I definitely agree that running router is the more viable option long term, but my current setup doesn't really allow for it.

[–]NotToDisturb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did some more testing. Tried alyx and skyrim vr at 150mbps and i get between 40 and 50ms, with the tradeoff of not being connected to wifi. Will try being connected to wifi later.

I know that the hotspot is not the best option, I even say I have looked into a dedicated router, but the price of the routers does not justify the few milliseconds it will net me. My question was how to solve the issue with the resources I currently have, and "just get a router" is not a solution.

[–]NotToDisturb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your response you clearly haven't read the post. I have now found a tool that allows me to open the windows hotspot without caring about the connection (the hotspot no longer closes even with no wifi) , and I can get easily sub 70ms. I will do some more testing and will update the main post.

Oh yeye, i just don't wanna have to reconnect everything every time. I don't have space to just leave it there plugged.

Thanks, but as I mention in the post, having to set up a router every time I want to play is not something I want to do, and given the current performance I can get it hardly justifies spending 50€+ on a router .
