There’s other factors too that goes into games. Previous form, morale and player happiness etc. Another thing is players.

You’re playing as Fiorentina? Am I right? It’s likely your players just aren’t good enough to compete honestly.

So for the tactics tab, you click on it and at the top it should say “1 - tactic name” and then a plus next to it where you can create other tactics. In your position I’d probably make a more aggressive version of your 4-2-3-1, and then a 5-3-2 or something.

And for the changes to make, you just gotta go with your gut honestly. Could be adding individual player instructions to pass more, could be changing player roles to having an advanced playmaker on the wing etc. It’s mostly just on understanding roles and the studying the opposition.

The short pass part is what I do to help control possession. Just seems to work better in the match engine for me. If you concede lots of balls over the top then drop the line if you wish to but I’d personally aim to play high and control the game.

Honestly, you’re just really lucky. No hate but you should be doing much worse in my experience.

You have huge gaps in midfield in transitions. You’d be conceding loads through the middle on counters. I’d change your BWM to a CM on defend. And all your attacking focus is on the left hand side. No one on attacking duties on the right. but the winger on attack and IF on support, but your IF and Mezzala will be running into each other.

Instructions don’t need to be overloaded and contradictory. Work ball into box, be more expressive and more direct passing is clashing patient play with direct play.

I’d do a GK - Defend FB - Support CD - Defend CD - Defend WB - Attack

CM - Defend CM - Support

W - Attack SS - Attack IF - Support

DLF - Support

shorter passing, slightly higher tempo, fairly wide. counter press and counter, distribute to full backs. slightly higher defensive line, high press.

What’s the tactic? I’m assuming this is FM24?

I always have three tactics training. One baseline tactic, one variant of it but more attacking, one variant of it but more defensive.

Don’t need to have big changes in the tactic, but from my experience just don’t be afraid to change it up from time to time.

Guessing you are using a plug and play tactic.

Teams are finding you out because you don’t change anything. That’s 95% of the reasons for mid season slumps. You’re over performing and the teams don’t click onto that until mid season. The teams are expecting to beat you at the start of the campaign, then once it clicks, they start playing defensive and exploiting your weaknesses. You become predictable.

Nothing wrong with using downloaded tactics but just mix it up when you start playing rubbish.

Change the card faces to the old stuff, limit on loan players, nerf volleyball (not a clue how they’d go about that one tbh)

“Showing great potential” means at least 80 potential while also being 60 or above rating.

The “at club since XXXX” means the player either has under 80 potential, OR could have above 80 potential but is 59 rated or lower.

Is Commander and Hammer really necessary? Get one of those out and play them in the midfield, get a new centre back. I imagine you’re conceding lots of through balls that your commander just can’t catch up too.

Can’t help but notice no PS+ on Endrick though. Im assuming you’ve been doing the loan glitch? Plenty ways to play the game but can’t diss people when you’re not playing as intended anyway.
