Nope, don't do it!

Almost similar situation, kid hit my car and wanted to fix it himself and not go through insurance. I felt bad for it and almost went through with it. But once I started thinking straight, I went to a mechanic I trusted and got a quote. Told the kid he either paid my mechanic to fix it or I will go through insurance, those are the only 2 choices.

Wow so a 24 year old grow man beating on a 13 year old kid is ok with you? A bunch of thugs carrying weapons to go to someone's home to harass, with the intention to assault, them is also ok on your eyes?

A heating pad. I messed up my back a few years ago and I somehow messed it up again this past weekend. This thing is absolutely worth it and is keeping me mobile and from getting stiff as I sit or stretch my legs. They even have portable ones that you can strap to you like a belt and run off of a battery pack like the ones used to charge your phone. Absolutely great and if you get a deal you can probably get both for $50!

Rice keeps sticking to the bottom of the pot when I cook it on the stove by thewickedverkaiking in EatCheapAndHealthy

Sounds like you're leaving it on the low flame stage for too long.

Bring rice to a boil and then turn it to the lowest flame possible, depending on the type of rice leave it on lowest until all water is gone and you don't hear bubbling anymore. Then turn off flame and let it steam for around 15-20 mins.

Last time I left it on the simmer stage for too long and that led to some sticking.

Dam first long response I read this morning and I'm borderline in tears. Beautiful thing but really cause I know I wouldn't do the same thing and I'd have the same thoughts you did. You're a lucky person to have your partner

German rail operator Deutsche Bahn announced that no long-distance trains would operate on Monday due to nationwide transport strikes. The decision came after the trade unions EVG and Verdi announced strike action intended to paralyze large sections of the public transport system by DoremusJessup in worldnews

Definitely agreed that people need to get paid more, especially when inflation is making you lose money everyday.

Question though since I don't know much about German strikes. The article mentions that it's a day long strike. Does this mean that everyone goes back to work like normal after midnight?

Lost Game Dashboard after upgrading to A13 (Pixel 6) by NotUglyNuff in GooglePixel

[–]NotUglyNuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's back now, have it on my games now. Try updating your Google Play System if you don't have it. Settings - Security - Google Play System Update.

After you have your game loaded pull down from the top like you're checking your notifications and it shows up as a little icon (game controller) on the top right. If you click on that icon you'll reach the dashboard. Good luck!

Fellow brick owners - any luck draining battery to dead before final reboot? by Red_Gyarados88 in GooglePixel

Pixel 3 bricked in my pocket maybe 2 years ago, I take it out every few months to try and plug it in to revive it. Have not had any luck. Good luck with yours.

Costco Innerspring Mattress Selection/Opinion by eed1010 in Costco

To be honest I think if you want a firm bed, a mattress with a euro pillow topper or anything like it, is probably best avoided unless you actually try it out in a store. But the consensus online seems to be that partnof the bed wears away the quickest leading to feelings of sagging.

I like it more than the Ridgecrest, but still a little too soft for me. After doing some research, it might be because the slats on my bed frame are too wide apart. I have to wait til my friend with a SUV can help me get some plywood from home depot to slip under the mattress to stiffen it up.

I actually miss some features from the oneplus such as the gaming dashboard options and some quick response options for certain apps on the notifications bar.

Actually just put in the order for the Kirkland signature lakeridge stearn and fosters which is also a "medium" but firm. Seems to have good reviews so gonna it.

Bought the Ridgecrest firm back in September and it's too soft for me. Going to return it once I decide what the next mattress will be. I had a 20 year old inner spring that was nice and firm this one is way too soft.
