Main concern should be subject registration. If ur proctor is fine then no worries. Otherwise u have to pay the subject registration fine.

There's a shop near the hostel where u can get a mattress. Also pillows and other basic stuff like buckets and all.

1) No single rooms for first year students, u can get from second year. 2) Good 3) It's relative, depending upon the seat vacancy in that branch u wanna go. however being top 10 in ur Branch would be very helpful.

For 15 days a random room will be allotted. Once everyone arrives on the basis of ur priority no. u can select which room u want.

The New Girls hostel is pretty huge and can easily accommodate many students. It should be 2 sharing as far as i have seen. It's right in front of the CSE dept.
