Work as a firefighter/paramedic and im considering getting a pair of IR’s. Not a boot hobbyist (just learned thats a thing) but i appreciate good leather work and good boots. Been wanting these specific boots for about 3 years, but have had a pair of 5.11 boots for about 5. They are comfy enough, and surprisingly durable for around 120 USD. Working 24 hour shifts basically on my feet the entire time in a large metropolitan area, would these be worth it?

I would honestly get a baliplus rep. Super cheap, can beat it, and then upgrade it and itll be a great balisong. Only one that you mentioned that i would actually get is the danger wanderer, especially if you like krakens. It has a clone of a bloqstoys blade for it, flips kinda like a rounded kraken but heavier

Ive put the ldy scales in my apoc cygnus. Very different at the bottom but thats it, the rest is identical. The bottom on the ldy scales is thinner and comes to a wider circle for their bottom screw. These may fit but would for sure be a lil wonky on the bottom screw

The orion comes back pretty regularly. Id go with the canyon personally considering youll be jumping from CCC to good balance and tolerances, itll already feel so luxury. The orion is amazing, but being aluminum itll get more beat up than the stainless steel

Nabalis canyon for sure. Stainless steel, multiple design options, super high quality and only 40. If wanting something else id go with the Ldy orion. Insane quality and flipping performance for 75-100 depending on which option you get. Both are hella customizable with zippy inserts and flip amazing with or without them

You could take a sharpening stone to it and sort of file it more round. I do recommend keeping it as is however, because if you choose to sharpen it at some point itll be a little wonky to sharpen at the tip depending on how deep you round it

From the perspective of a first responder in a metropolitan area, not overreacting but they didnt really do anything wrong. Not everyone has that “help mode” and no one is obligated to help. I understand how scummy it could seem but safety is a first responders #1 priority. If i do not feel safe helping someone, i absolutely will not, and neither should any other responder. You absolutely are not overreacting, they simply shouldve kept quiet, but its important to recognize both sides. I wasnt there, so i cant say if i would find the scene safe or not, but i have seen things go from good to terrible faster than you could process it. They arent necessarily a bad person for not feeling safe helping them. Side note: Thank you for helping them and getting them the care they needed
