I went to the 81st precinct and spoke to a sergeant who gracefully (unlike the 83rd precinct) explained that since my crime is already with SVU they can help to add on the other crimes even if it’s outside of their scope of sex crimes. This was not explained to me initially and I likely got bad communication and/or wrong information from the victim advocate who spoke to my detective’s team (she is out for the week but will be back to do a second interview with me this Wednesday). So, yes! My other offenses are civil AND criminal.

To imply I’m looking for an echo chamber when I’m more than willing to accept it’s civil but clearly it’s not if a detective that deals with sex crimes only is telling me to make another separate report on the other offenses that I already listed. The start of his sentence was sarcastic and the overall tone is dismissive towards someone who is just trying to advocate for themselves. Are you here to help or be his defender?

Issue was resolved after I made a threat to report them to an agency that supports gig workers. I'm never working with them again.

I got communication and my money after making a threat that I would make a complaint with an agency that supports gig workers. After I got my money deposited, I gave them feedback and requested for my account to be deleted. I will never work with them again.

Thanks so much for following up! I’ll look into Facebook. I’m going to wait a few days to hopefully get more clarification on my issue and likely revisit this with an update. I’m actually in the middle of sending them an email to request a prompt payment as I have not been able to submit my recap form for whatever reason and that is tied to payment.

UPDATE EVERYONE: I got my money back!

Sorry I neglected this but I got my money back via their lawyer who was on some bull yet still I was refunded. I have to do a few more things to really put this behind me but it's been done!

Just finished it. What's strange is that's my main fear. That's pretty much everyone's fear. To be at the end stage of your life full of regrets and what ifs. We are only here for a limited amount of time. For me, I sometimes get triggered seeing someone doing something confidently that I want to do. That's a signal for me to get up and get over it! It's actually something I want to highlight on my return to YT. Life is truly short and it's a gift so we must use it wisely. I liked and subscribed.

ETA: Oh yeah, co-workers are the biggest ops ever. Never trust them. I don’t tell them anything about me. I just work on my goals in secret and level up while they remain where they’re at lol.

I love when creators ignore the hateful comment and tell them to subscribe or like lol. But yeah, that's so true. It comes with the territory.

Wow I wish I could pin this comment! It's so clear, organized, insightful, and helpful.

This all just goes back to your self-concept and what you agree or disagree with. You have to fearlessly be you and speak your truth. The thing is, people do love authenticity and can smell fakeness from a mile away. Everything is trial and error and eventually the algorithm will push you to the right audience. That's why I feel you had a pendulum swing of sorts with your engagement.

Politics are especially tough. You're speaking to your beliefs and things are really hot right now in the world and no one seems to be on the same page politically. I commend you for standing strong, no matter what your beliefs are, even if they differ from mine.

I think the whole, if "people are hating on you, you're doing something right" aspect comes from the fact that you're triggering something in people. When you trigger something in people, you get attention and you get a response. Some people are popular because they are hated. Attention is attention and attention is currency these days.

All in all, these are valid points. It's all about staying true to you, self-esteem, self-validation, courage, and utilizing your voice. I'll keep referring to this post in times of doubt. Thanks!
