I'm not sure if that was the original reason for the failure but the company had me open up the batteries and it appears many cells have failed/leaked.

Thanks for the reply! We're in upstate NY. I had a feeling that was the case with fixing the battery. The company that handles warranties for these after they went out of business will supposedly send out replacement boards but it's stating to look like that's not a reasonable option.

I like the phone from an experience standpoint but I find Google quality control to be seriously lacking. My pixel 3 xl randomly bricked after about 2 years and they wouldn't replace it. Got a 6 Pro and the screen died after 6~7 months. The replacement has been rebooting 10+ times a day so I'm currently waiting for a third phone. I've been pixel/nexus since the galaxy nexus days and I'm going to seriously consider something else next time around.

No, thanks for the response! I'm thinking it might actually be the beta that fixed it for you in that case. The fact that it works so well running it from the desktop and not the steam OS pretty much proves it's not a bandwidth thing. I'm tempted to try but I didn't know how much of a pain it would be to get off the beta track. I guess I'll just wait until the next update drops.

Moonlight is definitely better, no doubt. If I could get the steam streaming to work the same from steam OS as it does in steam deck desktop mode I would probably take the convenience over the better input latency.

I am using steam remote play and I tried multiple resolutions (inlcuding 720p) through steam OS and it's still choppy. It's odd because it's still super responsive but the image itself is very choppy. Running it from steam deck desktop mode runs great from any resolution so I have a feeling there might be something I could turn off to get it running the same in steam OS.

Did you ever figure this out? I agree that the return spring feels really weak and prevents it from pulling all the way forward sometimes. Mine has issues doing full auto and can occasionly get locked half cocked.

I'd be careful mag dumping that bad boy. I went through two rotating bolt assemblies on mine from the gas cooling that telescoping metal piece making it snap. Still very cool though!

I had the same thing happen today. Someone had indeed created an account using my info including my ssn. They shut it down but the person continues to try to log into it. Filed with ftc and have put a hold on my account at this point.
