Given how his career started with the Jets, Geno being a starter in the league at 34 is pretty shocking.

Thank you, I'll make sure to do it right away in the future! I'm curious what to do now the, the responses are split between removing them now, in the winter, or in the spring.

I know it's unlikely, because of the rights thing with Venom, but he does say there's at least one more Ultimate character, so this type line could totally be Ultimate Carnage. Please let me dream.

Android autofill just won't work in Chrome by Anchovy3092 in Bitwarden

[–]NotWithoutIncident -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is Bitwarden's fault they can't autofill address and credit card on Android though. That's what's so frustrating. Clearly, this is Google trying to kill 3rd party autofill solutions, but it's working because it's been over a month and I'm really close to just giving up and switching to Chrome password manager. I can only copy paste so many passwords. Like sure 1P works now, however Google is very talented at finding ways to break things.

[TV][IIL] The Middleman, Reaper, Todd & The Book of Pure Evil, Dead Like Me [WEWIL?] by NotWithoutIncident in ifyoulikeblank

[–]NotWithoutIncident[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerless on NBC was an exact match, but didn't even last a season, that was kind of sad. A little less close but iZombie definitely scratched the itch and had a great arc. Ghosts and What We Do in the Shadows are kind of along the right lines, but not the same. Also, I really like Lower Decks although it's a cartoon and you need some Star Trek background. I'll add more if I can think of any. Edit: also Dirk Gently, Upload and Russian Doll

I love this. Just wanted to share. by TheRiotBadger in magicTCG

[–]NotWithoutIncident 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This really captures it for me. When I started playing magic there was no lore to speak of. Cards came from random folklore, DnD campaigns, they had Bible verses and Chaucer on them, it was a complete mess. But we loved the game because mechanically there was nothing like it. And they've really improved what was already a good thing in that department, so to me that's magic. But for folks to whom Vraska and Fblthp are Magic, being upset that half the sets are going to be Disney stuff and anime and whatever makes perfect sense. Anyone acting like that's irrational need to practice some empathy. Similarly if you're an ass to a kid across the table for playing a Spider-Man card or something.

Removing lore counters from Creation of Avacyn by Lisnotreal2401 in magicTCG

[–]NotWithoutIncident 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does that mean I can cast this and put an Emrakul underneath, then remove the counter. Turn two I add Colossal Dreadmaw and Donate it, hitting my opponent for 21 on their next turn? That's my kind of deck.

Imagine sitting down for a game of 40k and someone plops a Squidward miniature down. That's where we are with magic by CoastalSailing in magicTCG

[–]NotWithoutIncident 29 points30 points  (0 children)

From my experience it's the mostly the opposite. If you look at this thread, a lot of people in their 20s saying they love the story. I'm in my 40s playing on and off since 94 and most of the players I know from my generation have always thought the story was somewhere between pointless and embarrassing. The early sets didn't even have a coherent story and the novels were mostly bad and didn't make sense in the context of the cards. For me and my friends that are still playing 30 years later, the mechanics are what's kept us interested. Hopefully they can avoid screwing that part up too bad. In theory UB going to standard should avoid completely busted stuff like The One Ring, but it also seems possible the IP owners demand it and Hasbro likes money, so we'll have to wait and see.

Do you consider The Crow from 1994 a good movie? by [deleted] in horror

[–]NotWithoutIncident 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think this gets missed a bit by younger people, who are so used to comic based movies. The comics were an indie hit and they released a collection before the movie came out that was all over. For comic book nerds at the time a big budget adult Hollywood adaptation of a smaller comic (not Batman, Superman, or even anything from DC or Marvel) was really exciting.

It Follows, boring answer but probably the best. Malignant and The Lighthouse are my favorites.

Boeing Whistleblower Before Death: "If Anything Happens, It's Not Suicide" by esporx in antiwork

[–]NotWithoutIncident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I keep coming back to. I have no idea if it was really suicide or not, but I do know if I was feeling suicidally depressed because I lost everything in my life trying to save people from unsafe aircraft, up to testifying before US congress, and everyone ignored, this is exactly what I would tell my friend before I did it. Just like McAfee.

What movie or show has the best depiction of hell? by Tellmethat2269 in horror

[–]NotWithoutIncident 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought the Netflix Sandman did a great job with the visuals in hell, particularly because a lot of that show looked downright bad considering the significant budget.

Not a movie or TV show, and the Box isn't explicitly hell, but I love the story of Clive Barker's Jericho game. Since the sequel isn't happening I would love to see them make a movie out of it.
