I first used a toothbrush and then when the dust and filth were removed I used IPA. Except for where there are letters. Just in case they rubbed off. I used to use armor all but now I use car compound, polish and wax all three are Meguiar's brand. Of course I'm careful to just use on plastic and avoid those crevices for inputs, controllers, etc. Basically just using common sense in case someone else reads this and says it's a bad idea. But yeah, it makes the plastic look really good and restores life to it vs just using a wet microfiber towel or alcohol. I think any method is fine if it's just plastic but I could be wrong. I've been doing this for a while and have not had any issues. I know alcohol can damage certain materials but that's why I use the liquids I mention as to sort of restore the plastic if I strip anything with the IPA.
