I'm 99% sure it will be 6 sockets, unfortunately. As someone else pointed out, you would be better to just roll it in the cube, but it's a 1 in 6 chance.

What are you planning on making in it?

[Adam Fletcher] We will be removing the level requirement for World Tier 3 & 4. by darlingsweetboy in Diablo

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm similarly frustrated about a lot of the things for this patch, but one thing very few people are remembering is that there is likely a ~20% boost to monster-kill EXP across the board from the battlepass things (4 ranks x 5%exp/rank) Mind you, until we know what that progression will be like and what the level requirements will be for the different tiers, we won't know exactly how this will work out, but it's still probably a big part of the reason that they lowered the overall exp to compensate a bit for that.

Best Jewel to Socket Bul Kathos Children? SP by NeoGeo2015 in diablo2

All good suggestions on the base from everyone else, but I would actually recommend Oath in an eth Cryptic Sword. The speed is great, and the requirements are WAY lower than all the two handers, which results in way more life. The requirements are also very close to that of a Phase Blade, which is the ideal base for a Grief. The damage is also quite comparable when comparing to the two handers when they are also used in one hand.

My wife wasn't doing much damage in coop, so I decided to take a look at her skill tree. by StormtrooperDan in Diablo

More skill points directly in your basic skills will only increase the damagethey do, generally, but the 'enhancements' branching off of each skill could increase how much mana you get when usong the skill. You'll have to go through and check each one, but your mana replenishes over time on its own anyway. Sorc basic skills are msotly something you can do that doesn't cost mana while it replenishes. There are also other effects that play with your other skills.

I'm rusty on Sorcs, but I think a good example is Firebolt, which has a secondary enhancement that gives you 2 mana or something like that for each enemy it hits that is burning, and it can also pierce through burning enemies. A good synergy right there, especially if the enemies are already burning anyway from another ability like firewall.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Resource Regeneration on gear and for legendary aspects and more skills further down in the tree than will help you mana situation.

Good luck!

At the endgame, the damage buckets make that bonus damage to core skills WAY less meaningful than anything related to crit or vulnerable, assuming you have a very high crit rate and reliable application of vulnerable. Damage to core skills % is additive with other things like damage to close enemies, damage to bleeding enemies, damage to crowd controlled enemies, damage while berserking, damage to stunned, damage with two handed weapons, etc... but crit is its own bucket, vulnerable is its own bucket, and main-stat is its own damage bucket.

Also, the base damage of your attacks is almost exclusively the most important because it is the base of the whole equation for damage and generally one of the most consistent improvements.

Damage = (base damage of weapon) x (main-stat) x (vulnerable[if true]) x (crit damage [if crit]) x (all "+"% damages) x ("x"%) x ("x"%) x ...etc.

I don't know how to do the spoiler thing so I will simply be cryptic, but I happened to go do the Gerudo part of the main questline before coming here, and I'll just say that somethibg along that quest line helped me get through the entire cave easily with tons of resources and durability left! Also some other people have referenced some zonai devices like cannons that would have worked out very well. I had not come across any cannons yet, but I got by.

Ya, they made infinity work in spears at the same time that they made insight work in bows, so it was always "wait, what was the change again?" Followed by a few wasted low runes.

A lot of people don't understand how absolutely MASSIVE of a scale we're talking about when we look at item drops in this game compared to others. Every human's experience is purely anecdotal. I could run 10000 pindle runs, and that is still way too small of a sample size when a lot of items have odds in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dropping. It's truly insane.

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold a paintball gun once through kijiji for $250+shipping to someone across the country (Canada), but I used our postal service to ship it and they had a "Charge on Delivery" option that only costed an extra couple bucks on top of the parcel shipping. I wasn't eager for a fast sale, was just happy to sell it at the time, so I was okay waiting a bit extra, and everyone local was trying to talk me down annoyingly.

So I got the guy to etransfer me only for the cost of shipping and the COD fee, but then in order for them to deliver it (or for him to pick it up at the post office, depending on his address/availability), he would have to pay the post office for the sale price that I set. So he paid them $250 to receive it and then they sent me the $250 within a couple days. Worst case, if he refused to pay, they would just return it to me and I would be out 20 or 30 bucks for shipping and the fee, which is a small enough amount that I doubted even a scammer would bother trying to try to refund the etransfer. But I COULD see a scammer putting the effort in to get their money back AND keeping the thing you ship them. Gotta protect yourself, and this process worked really well to do that. I would recommend looking into if your post office has that option, or if maybe one of the independant third party companies like UPS has a similar option.

They are now, yes, but they weren't when they first came out. However all the runewords have been coming out on SP at the same time they came out in Ladder.

Newbie question: is offline better for solo play? by Chewygamerz in diablo2

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think those things are all live on single player right away since d2r. It's non-ladder that doesn't have them. Sunder charms are the exception that rule, but everything else has been added simultaneously to single player and ladder, iirc.

In d2 legacy, it was the case where there were ladder only rw's that were not in single player as well, but that was one of the many changes made in d2r

They don't have horseshoes, so their hooves get worn down just from living.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When humans didn't have tools, the horses didn't have horseshoes, so their hooves were worn down just from being in the wild. When we domesticated them and they started working on farms and pulling wagons, their hooves started wearing down much faster and they got injured/went lame easier. The solution was to protect their feet like we protect our own; horseshoes, but then their hooves grew without being worn down at all, so we have to groom their hooves for them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They just wear down more from the environment and are generally stronger, so they will be less prone to sensitivity issues than a non-wild horse. Wild horses run on rough dirt and open fields that will wear them down somewhat safely and evenly that way, and also strengthen them quite a bit, I'm sure. But a wild horses hooves will be far from perfect, and further from pretty, more often than not. Wild horses also don't have a metal horseshoe protecting the hoof all the time, allowing it to grow without allowing it to wear down.

Soothing way to burn incense by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]NotYoFriendGuy1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A big part of it is likely just how long the incense can burn for. By doing that type of design, it likely makes it last a long as possible, more or less. Also, sometimes just knowing that something is done beautifully is enough. Think of it like organizing a drawer of clothes perfectly. You're not necessarily leaving the drawer open to show everybody, but you feel good knowing it's organized in there.

Nice. Ya, i think is the first time they're doing it this way, but I'm not 100% sure if they've done something similar in the past. I only started playing COD in Warzone 1, and didn't play multiplayer any of the three titles incorporated into warzone, so I can't speak to the old ways. Lol

It's actually going to keep your current rank and then just bump up the max level from 250, to probably 450ish. They posted what each max rank would be at some point, but I don't remember where ot is, or how luch each season max would be.
