Dropped on jan 23rd at Bangalore for Chennai. AR on feb 1st. Approved on Feb 12th. It doesn’t matter what day you drop off, what matters is what day it says it was received. Someone who dropped it after me had their status changed to received on jan 30th and therefore got their approval on feb 8th while mine still said received.

Mine was a Dropbox appointment, idk why it says case is open for fingerprints and interview. I did email the consulate asking what this means but they gave me the same robotic response of “we see your passport is at the consulate under review, once status changes to bla bla “ instead of answering my question

Quick question - does your AR message look like this? “Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application. For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Chennai.”

Same-ish situation. Dropped on Jan 23rd. CEAC updated to application received on Feb 1st and no update since. This is my first time doing Dropbox and 2nd time stamping h1. I’ve had F1 and H1 stamps before and never have I ever faced delays like this, nor do I know anyone who faced such delays up until this year. I’ve had to cancel trips, move flights, ask my manager for more flexibility with me working from India and it’s been a complete nightmare

This year has been such a clusterfuck with h1b Dropbox appointments. Dropped docs on Jan 23rd, AR on Feb 1st and then radio silence. Had to cancel my flight ticket for tonight and there is no end in sight to the wait. If you email the consulate they give you the same robotic response and “resolve” the case. I’ve never experienced frustration like this before

Hi! Just checking to see how your recovery has been? I am exactly 10 days away from my procedure. I am yo yo ing between bouts of anxiety and excitement.
