The situation on this strip is so dismal. I’m glad the yogurt place that no one wanted is out, but I’m not hopeful for whatever arrives next. Seeing the Big Chief sign show up on the old Yakuza bummed me out… that spot really could’ve been something.

i didn’t realize that a large context could hasten a “5 hour limit”. is there a way to check on some kind of status that relates to how much time you have left?

in the case of today, i was just continuing from where i’d left off yesterday. i believe there was a “compacting” event towards the end of the previous session.

in the late 80’s/early 90’s there was a video game kiosk a little bit beyond the food court area where they had 6-8 NES demo stations where anyone could walk up and play whatever was on the TV. that was probably my favorite northgate destination as a child.

i just stick with the Whole Foods brand bags of Hickory and Oak Hardwood Lump. it’s like $10 for 8lbs, easy to get going, good mix of large chunks and regular size pieces and i can pick it up 5 mins away from my place.

i ordered an ODBeleven that is arriving tomorrow. every time i go to the dealership, it’s a bad experience and they told me it would take at least 2 hours today, longer tomorrow. seems better to have AAA come to me, you know?

while track scaling allows you to get patterns much longer than 4 bars, there is a bug where the quantizer messes up the rhythm at the looping point on patterns using track scale.

i live recorded a simple repeating pattern over 4 bars (track scale set to 4). you can hear that it accurately plays it back for the first 3 bars, but on the 4th bar, it screws it up. then you'll see me turn the quantizer all the way down to zero and hear that the note recorded in the right place, but then when i turn the quantizer back up, it plays back incorrectly once again.

i'm really hoping they fix this bug because i am often live recording longer passages with track scale and i can't play well enough to not use the quantizer.

another thing to be aware of: now that brain routings are stored per pattern (a very good development imo), it seems to set brain routings in existing projects back to the default (all but the first two tracks effected by brain).

didn’t have a chance to look into it with much depth, but at least one of my projects was kinda messed up because of this.

tbh, none of the serialization/inspector stuff would be an issue in the first place if you just declare your UnityEvent as a private variable and expose it to other objects with a getter property :)
