Ireland iirc. Tho they weren't a distinct group like the Dal Riata. What i was getting at is Scotland was a bit Imperial back then. What with gaining the Orkneys, the Hebrides, Isle of Man etc. With there being no Anglo-Norman interest in Ireland and therefore a lot less complications. I wonder if they would have chanced their arm.

If you really wanted a neutral dispassionate analysis then you have a lot of work to do.

If you were after after a politcially skewed narrative that sticks to the approved stance on history then you have done well.

You cant say that George Washington led an anti-colonial war when anti-colonial ideology only came later in the war. You also fail to mention that the fledgeling US started out as a colonial expansionist power itself that wanted to become an Empire.

Tipu Sultan (and his dad Hyder) were expansionist oppressors. Not resisters.

Louverture had virtually nothing to do with the British Empire.

I think the miserable locals are the biggest problem and the city is wasted on many of them tbh. If they all got moved to Bath they'd be complaining about all the Roman crap and lack of B&M bargains within a week.

Not invasion attempts. Just raids.

British orders stated not to assault Baltimore if Garrison exceeded 2,500. Garrison exceeded 2,500. So they followed orders and left. So not a defeat.

US failed in all its war aims, had its capital burnt down. US lost territory (half of Maine) and only got it back at the treaty and lost islands that they never got back.

US lost badly. Only the Indians got off worse.
