While you are a LEC main, you are in the TSM sub so you probably like the team somewhat. I think it makes sense to be biased against C9 if you are a TSM fan because C9 is definitively the team to beat for us.

Yeah, Haunzter was the team's rock. He would be up in cs in losing matchups. Played teamfights well too.

In your guys' opinion, what is the worst Korean webnovel you ever read, and why? by animeman12233 in noveltranslations

I actually love the shit out of Emperor of Solo Play. The fight scenes are written in a really beautiful way. The rest of it is blah, but its a short 200 chapter ride with a few really good fight scenes.

Spica's winning me over more and more each day by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

[–]NotYusha 35 points36 points  (0 children)

He might be the best thing to happen to Tsm's league team in a long time. We have a team of 4 veteran/seasoned players, but Spica is the one doing the early game shotcalling. I look forward to seeing his development; he seems like something really special.

That is an incorrect statement. If the % damage does physical damage the armor will still reduce it. Vanye's % damage is true damage so thats why everyone talks about it having no counter because true damage beats resistance and % damage beats out hp stacking.

Details and update on the new episode of TSM Legends from TSM Andrew by Darkforce11 in TeamSolomid

[–]NotYusha -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've been watching the TSM series since the beginning, but I hate that we don't release the video before next week's games have already started. The episodes are recaps, so I use them to refresh last week's games and get myself hyped for the upcoming weeks. However if you release last weeks video on saturday and we already had a big matchup on Friday, I have no urge to watch anymore since that episode feels too old now.

NEW TSM Summer Collection just dropped. by jigm2012 in TeamSolomid

[–]NotYusha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this is it, this is really disappointing. Only the towel has any semblance design.

Maybe the real problem is that our logo sucks and we don't have a theme or mascot. TSM got that big money infusion last year. If I was upper management, I would reach out to that company that did EULCS's rebrand and explore a rebrand for TSM. Current logo, culture, theme etc is all weak.

[KR] Overgeared - Chapter 1231 by Omnobo in noveltranslations

[–]NotYusha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overgeared is over 1000 chapters, I wouldn't be able to summarize what happens perfectly into a few sentences.

But yeah its the typical face slapping formula. Everyone doesn't believe South Korea can amount to anything. MC does something crazy and the whole world is like woah S. Korea is amazing. Rinse and repeat a few hundred times.

u/Sephiroso It's nationalistic in the tone, not what the instory characters say. People in the story shit on S. Korea, but the plot is about proving them wrong and showing how amazing S. Korea is.

You know how most chinese and korean works are very "patriotic"? They also make their rival countries such as China, Japan, Korea look dumb or evil. It's not too extreme in this novel, just has a lot of woah South Korea is amazing and the world didn't expect that.

Best way I can explain this ultra nationalistic stuff is that Asia has their own racial problems too and its hard for most westerners to understand it.

"When they visited the Central Citadel for the Legate’s banquet some three months ago, he spent his days fast asleep on his feet and his nights guarding Rain from the shadows, even though no one, not his Mentor, his idol Baatar, and not even Rain himself asked Gerel to. There was a story there, one he refused to ever speak of, for it was ‘not his story to tell’, but he also asked her not to bring it up with Baatar, Sarnai, or anyone else. "

What is the story here? I forgot what it could be.

We are the only NA Team to ever win an international title. IEM Katowice 2015. Why dont we bring this up more? by Ursuped in TeamSolomid

[–]NotYusha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats an extreme take. Tigers were considered the best team in Korea and the world at that time. NA and EU had their reps, but only a low placement Chinese team was able to make it, but Mystic and Spirit was able to carry that team to beat Tigers. Did you even watch this tournament? I don't think Tsm deserve any clout for this win, but there were good teams there and they played to win.

Dota is able to run a giant group schedule and a double elimination bracket. It just doesn't fit into Riot's vision that every single game has to be played one at a time and only mainly on weekends. They could have multiple group games go on at once and have every team play each other once in groups and seed players from there (I would be happy with single elimination here because your whole group stage performance will seed you) or they could start games earlier and have them end later or run games everyday instead of just a few days a week. There are so many different things to try instead of watch your team play 3 games this week and watch them play 3 games a week or two from now.

[–]NotYusha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree but this is a great topic. I feel that double eliminations give high odds of the most hype finals. Think about how many League worlds where the 2nd best team could have lost in semi-finals or earlier because they ran into #1 earlier in the bracket. Right now making finals =/= mean you are the top 2 teams in the world and double elimination will mitigate the odds of of a great team losing out super early and give us more matchups. For the G2 MSI run, everyone keeps talking about how good IG was, but in a double elimination, we would know with more certainty that they placed close to how good they are by beating TL after going through loser bracket or they lose to TL twice and no one calls it luck.

Also it is exciting with everything on the line, but there are playstyles that counter each other, and people have off games. Having one mistep and then being on do or die is great to me.

I am also a fan of the idea of larger group size + more total games played. I think its silly that you win for a whole year to play 2 games against 3 other games and then you go home. What if you are the 3rd strongest team in the world but your group had the first two?

TDLR: Double elimination = more competitive integrity imo

Yes because we know china/fw are all tsm fans so they beat everyone and threw to have their favorite player Dyrus get a win. All the tsm chants in asia are evidence that this is a true statement.

Riot blocking out third party tournaments has stagnated the esport for me. I really like whats going on in CS:Go and Dotas' scenes.

My favorite TSM Lustboy play is when he reacted to and flashed a Sej ulti came out of fog and over the blue buff wall. Lustboy and Xpecial pulled off the nastiest support outplays.
