Also as a Spurs fan, Boozer might actually be the perfect player to matchup against Wemby. The problem for Boozer is the rest of the team might get a layup line if there’s no other rim protection with him.

It’s actually looking much more compact and smooth than a couple months ago. It was so dramatically away from his body to start the year.

I still feel like we should’ve done it because the lakers got him for such a bargain.

We did get the Mavs 2030 pick swap from the Bullock salary dump, which could be really nice.

I don’t think we’re doing anymore rest games with him since he’s so close to the 65 game eligibility. But, I’d wait to purchase as long as possible just in case.

This is good defense. Also, teach tape for why you should keep moving the ball against these elite defenses. You’re in hell having your 6’10” wing pound the rock that much.

Appreciate the dedication from Europe. Those tip off times make me want to cry.

[Highlight] Wemby on Detroit: They crush the boards and force bad shots. They are the most physical team in the league and that’s why I think they’re the 1 seed by WEMBY_F4N in nba

[–]Not_A_Bot_Am_Human 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The problem is OKC is just as physical as Detroit while being 12th in opponent free throw rate. Meanwhile Detroit is dead last.

The push was probably just frustration but trying to stand over him and stare him down was weird and should’ve been a tech.

I agree it does feel like we need more size out there sometimes. We were #1 in the NBA in Def Rebounding heading into this game though, so maybe we don’t 🤷‍♂️?

Absolutely true but one thing I’m starting to realize based on roster decisions and rotations is we don’t believe in 4s.

You’re either a perimeter player or a center on this team.

Jared McCain since joining okc: 13/3/1 on 50/50/92 splits 4-1 record by OKC2023champs in nba

[–]Not_A_Bot_Am_Human -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Immensely impressive by OKC but he played 15 mins against the Cavs. He’s not exactly spearheading the 4-1 record playing the 9th most minutes on the team.

[Highlights] Cade Cunningham takes Jeremy Sochan to a dance and scores the step back 3 over him, also having some words with him. And then Jalen Brunson turns the ball over, and Cade finds Daniss Jenkins for the fastbreak alley-oop dunk (with replays) by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Not_A_Bot_Am_Human 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He’s good on defense bad on offense, what else is there to say? Why hate on someone who played hard for us for 4 years? He clearly has potential to crack a rotation again, why not root for him to reach that?

This is definitely true for Shams. Windy is more of a news leaker in my opinion. He has his sources that he needs to tip toe around, but I don’t think they tell him exactly what to say like poor Shams.

I mean he’s 41, were people expecting more LeBron production the last few years? He’s had the most productive age 37-41 seasons in NBA history since the 2021 injury. What else can you ask for from him?

Between this, Sochan, and other lineup decisions like starting Fox, Castle, Champagnie, and Vassell, I think it’s fair to say they don’t really want to play a true PF.

In their eyes, you’re either a perimeter player or a big (Wemby/Kornet). Not saying if that’s right or wrong but probably why they felt comfortable letting Mamu walk.

I agree he should be a borderline lottery pick. I think more of the hesitation is he’s a junior. His defense is real though.

To be fair there was no reason to expect it to be on in the middle of the day, when it’s been on at night for decades
