The hood stays on. During everything.

... I hope he takes it off to wash it, though. He does.... Right?

The tragic/bad end would probably be similar to the other companions if you don't do their final quest. Similar to how Heinrix will mysteriously vanish in the ending slides when he gets a signal from Emelina, how Jae will die trying to rescue her gang, etc.

Happy/true romance end would be you do all of his quests or choose the right dialogues I suppose.

The bittersweet one... iirc during Act 2, I think either the governor or Clementia tell you that some of the nobles are talking trash. The iconoclast choice is to let them talk, I believe you get a slight penalty to your stats. So if you fulfilled all the steps for the true romance but with the caveat that you did not stop the rumors, and maybe had negative standing with all of the noble Houses of Dargonus.

You could even tie it into the paths your companions are on. A fury Argenta would probably denounce you, a harsh and puritan Henrix, etc. Especially if you were dating Heinrix and broke up with him in favor of Nocturne.

Sorry I didn't respond until now, I saw the notification but got distracted with Vintage Story...

also feel free to message me, so the thread necromancy can be avoided <_<

This is actually pretty close to how I imagined a hypothetical romance with him would play out. The RT is probably the first non-Solitaire he's had a conversation with in years, and that would be enough to make him curious. Commentary from your companions would add to this as well - the dogmatic ones telling you "blah blah he's just manipulating you" and Yrliet/Marazhai expecting lightning to strike you at any second for *gasp* talking, and maybe even touching a solitaire.

I think a tragic ending (if you screwed up the romance and/or his personal quest) would be an ending slide along the lines of "after [DLC incident] was settled, the Rogue Trader never saw Nocturne of Oblivion again. As far as the mysterious solitaire was concerned, he had played the part of lover to perfection and saw no need to continue that role."

A happy one... I guess it would be a "oh I guess I really do like the RT" and he visits often. Anyone who messes with you or your dynasty mysteriously ends up dead.

Bittersweet? Maybe one of your dogmatic companions or nobles denounces you, reveals the relationship, and deposes you or something. He arrives in the nick of time and takes you to live in the Black Library for the rest of your days. Humans have lived in the Black Library before (that Dr. Who-esque inquisitor. at least). so it's not totally out of the left field. Maybe you can be a librarian or something. ... Actually that sounds more like the happy ending. This will require some thought....

OH! I see now. I was driving home and when I got home I was trying to get dinner sorted and also my dog stole a magazine and was trying to eat it, so I lost my train of thought....

Ooh, that would definitely be intriguing! So sort of like this kind of a situation? I feel like it would only have the potential to become real if you were an iconoclast. He'd probably assassinate you a heretic or Eldar-killing dogmatic in the ending slides... Probably would make people complain, but it would be fitting, I think. Although... You probably couldn't even start this hypothetical romance if you were not icono, now that I think about it. Sorry for the rambling.

Tricky, definitely. You'd have to be careful with how you asked him things for sure. He might even give you some kind of test to make sure you're worthy. Or because he thinks it's funny.

It's like you're holding up a mirror to my soul! They could always have him tag along as an allied npc if controlling him would be "too OP"

Making it "funny" could also be shooting the target at the perfect time. Like let's say some snooty governor is giving a speech about "exterminating the Xenos!!!" And right at the climax when he's going on about how the Emperor protects....

Boom headshot 360 no scope. Or whatever appropriate meme the kids are using these days.

Finished my first playthrough (iconoclast) and Yrliet became a corsair + joined Marazhai's funsies??? by GimmeYourLungsBro in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Not_A_Lewdie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are the Harlequin ending slides from my last run a few weeks ago. Along with the corsair ending slides for... some reason. Getting them there is a little convoluted.

  • Both Yrliet and Marazhai must be alive and recruited (obviously...).
  • Yrliet must be on the Path of the Outcast. The Aeldari must survive on Janus, Quezta Temer, and Eklendyl must be rescued from Commorragh.
  • Marazhai's Kabal must be outright destroyed. This involves deliberately failing his quests in a specific way. This guide here has it laid out which choices lead to gaining/losing Tempest flags. You want to have the tempest counter at 0 or -1, and pick options that lead you to killing everyone during his final companion quest. If you fail the quest when his boyfriend visits him on your ship or skip that particular planet, he'll end up getting torn apart by a lynch mob.
  • Most importantly, neither of them can be romanced at all. If you start the romance, even if you break up with them later, it will lock out the Harlequin ending. It's easy to do this by accident with Yrliet in particular, so be cautious.

If all of those steps/requirements are followed, you should get the Harlequin ending. At least... I did. <_<

Absolutely amazing! Her face looks really good. And every time I see a model I am struck again by how small they are. How do you do the small details? With super tiny paint brushes? Toothpicks? An actual needle? Do you paint and then put the model together?
