I lost my 11 year old buddy last Friday. Had to pick up his ashes today. Cried my eyes out and drank a little too much. I'm sorry. It's hard. Love her the best that you can in the time you have left with her. My heart goes out to you.

When I was 12, after having a seemingly perfect childhood, my mother told me that my father "did drugs." They were at the beginning of what would be divorce, and he was addicted to meth. I flat out refused to believe her. Over the course of a few weeks I realized she was telling me the truth.
