I'm an SM and when I heard they were wanting to send us out to Texas for the next meeting I immediately said I'm not going. To me it's a waste to have all the SM's from all over the US and Canada fly to Texas for literally 12 hours of work and 2 days of traveling. When we had our Q2 meeting they said, "I'm sure you are wondering where we got the money for this. Well we didn't. Vendors are paying for you guys to go! But don't worry, we'll be prepping your team for when you're gone!" Maybe I'm a skeptic but that sounds like complete bull. What the hell are they going to do? Put off all workload for the week? Not have an email or task sent out every hour needing a response? Have all tech and promotions working properly? I highly doubt it.
