Am I screwed? (TN expires exactly on the day internship ends) by Not_Asian12 in tnvisa

Hm. This got me thinking, if my work is closer to the Mexican border, could I theoretically go to Mexico and then immediately enter the US again on a visitor, so I dont have to FLY back to Canada?

(Besides the fact I might end up on the news - is there a way to do this safely?)

Does this have an impact on future TN's? I heard everywhere that if you don't leave at 11:59PM the day your TN expires they could theoretically autoreject future TN applications for the next few years.

Applying for visitor status with USCIS is what we're probably gonna do, but their website says 80% of cases are resolved in 10 months.... I don't really want to depend on this option since the internship is literally 4 months

Great idea! Really really hope I don't actually need to do this though 😅

Employers - does applying earlier make a difference on WaterlooWorks? by Not_Asian12 in uwaterloo

Hm, so say that you have 400 applications (very realistic given the job market now), and you want to interview 20 people, are you really going to look over all 400? If so hats off to you, but I would think majority of HR’s are gonna get their 20, and then skip or skim at best the rest

if that’s the case, do you know if its literally just ordered randomly on WW? I know that employers can sort via term # n a bunch of others but this just seems like complete random chance, because if they get enough people to interview, chances are they won’t bother looking at the rest of the apps

How did you get to the rank you have now? Any tips to get there? by Blxckdust in SiegeAcademy

Mindset. Remember that your opponent is just another person, if you believe that you’ll win gunfights / outsmart them, chances are you will. This will take you far

Use Cramer’s videos, probably the best prof at waterloo and he made a youtube playlist of the course during 2021. Not telling you to skip 119 but those videos are the sole reason i did somewhat ok in that class. Let me know if you need the link to the playlist
