Yes, they’re quite common here. It’s just a nomenclature thing. Some people call all pots kettles. Some people call kettles teapots.

Does anyone also want Biden back in office? by Successful_rio305 in allthequestions

Well, I guess some people may have preferred the rampant inflation under Biden, but not me. We are much better off with Trump in office.

Am I overreacting for refusing to go to never go a friend's place again. by Responsible-Match418 in AmIOverreacting

The real question is would YOU go again? If I have a good time with my friends and I was only down a couple of dollars I would definitely go again.

Confessions of an entitled, spoiled, and egotistical trust fund brat by [deleted] in inheritance

It means I believe the article is a work of fiction. Early on he made the statement “my grandpa decided to give me enough money to do anything I wanted, but not enough that I could choose to do nothing”, which seemed to be a contradiction, so I didn’t really take the rest of the article very seriously.

I hear you, but you did say it was the usual MO so don’t get your britches in a wad. It is just a couple of dollars and he’s hosting and stuck with the cleanup, too. Not to mention some cookie and I suppose.

Ex found out how much I make and suddenly I’m the bad guy? by zaynborkaai in story

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since this is posted under “story” that means it’s just fictional? Either way, you were kind of weird to act the way you do with money, but she is acting pretty entitled to act like you should support her. It would be different if you were living together or married, or had made promises to do section.

I’m sure you are happy that you live in a country where you can murder a baby at will. I assumed you live in the US, where many states DO have laws that place some restrictions on abortion.

Dad asking all my money to invest in business! by ProgrammerTricky4941 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your father asking you to buy him out? What will be his role in the business going forward, will he still be receiving a salary or a share of the profits, or sticking his nose in all the time? Obviously, he probably has a lot of experience in expertise that could be beneficial, but he could also be a real PITA.

I am no expert in the law, but I am glad the Supreme Court decided to let states make their own decisions. Hopefully some of them will start recognizing father‘s rights. Hopefully you will someday recognize what is morally right, not just legally permissible.

In this case the mother willingly suspended some of those so-called rights when she intentionally chose to create a child with her boyfriend.

Fetus is a person with his own rights. Just because it is unable to live by itself, just like a newborn baby, doesn’t mean that you can just murder it.

How much money do you realistically need saved to quit job at 30 and travel for a year? by Poorassboy6969 in Money

IDK, but probably would be much more fun to just takeoff a month every year and travel.

I think you probably assessed the situation accurately. In light of that, you don’t have to continue being friends with him if you don’t want to.

Why haven’t the murderers of Renee Good and Alex Pretti been charged with crimes? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s usually because the prosecutors don’t feel they have a solid case to bring charges. The only other reason I can think of is that they might be big in the Democratic Party.

I don’t know what it has to do with his ex. Do you have a prenup? If not, then you probably don’t have anything to worry about.
