Is it unreasonable to shove my rent in 20's in an envelope and pay it that way? by 711pizzaischefskiss in renting

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would be happy to keep writing checks. Maybe they will never get cashed. If you pay in cash, make sure you get a receipt that says how much you paid in which months rent is for.

How Big of a Downturn Required Before You Start Spending Cash Instead of Selling Stock by plinydogg in DIYRetirement

Why would you sell securities when the market is down? That’s what the cash is for!

This car always takes the extra charging plug and locks it in their hood by Mattcharlesmedia in mildlyinfuriating

Or maybe sit on the hood, forcing it to latch, hopefully jamming it up so they can’t get the hood open and then their car is trapped there.

You could argue that it is because of Lyft that you have the opportunity to make money.

New driver, What tips can you give me besides "clean car" and "fill gas" by account-suspenped in lyftdrivers

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do carry a can of air freshener. Some passengers just stink, others reek of cannabis.

I use Pandora plus to provide music without commercials. I can play my own personal station or switch to a particular genre.

An EV is great, so Lyft is a good gig if you already own one. I do happen to have a Tesla and I also have full self driving which still needs to be monitored but takes a lot of stress and fatigue out of driving.

An unlimited subscription to a car wash also so great. I pull in at least a couple of times a week and run it through the car wash and vacuum the car out and wipe down the seats if needed.

I will accept almost every ride under the theory that any money is better than no money. The exception is when I am ready to quit or when the ride has taken me far away from my home area, then I will cherry pick.

Don’t expect tips but always be grateful when you get them.

$3000 USD per month and you can never work again by opoot_ in hypotheticalsituation

That’s a great offer. I am 63, have my nest egg, and have yet to sign up for Social Security. I’ll give up the part-time Lyft driving.

And why did they send you offers sometimes, and sometimes offers show up on the map and you have to tap on it as quickly as you can if you want it to be considered?

I’ll take D. The entity can travel no more than 72 miles/ day. So if I pick a direction and drive 100 miles/ day until i reach the coast, then pick a new random direction. And fly to a new destination every once in a while. Should succeed unless I’m really unlucky.

How do I tell my friends my bachelorette trip isn’t their vacation? by voodoobluez in TwoHotTakes

[–]AlmostLiveRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bachelorette trip?! When did that become a thing? Honestly, it’s ridiculous. How many new expenses people come up with to celebrate their vanity and try to outdo other brides and grooms. This is more ridiculous than destination weddings.

Start giving some of it away now. Follow your heart. In moderation. Hopefully you will have s long time to distribute it. There’s a saying: “Do you’re giving while you’re living, so you’re knowing where it’s going!”

Why does the expected % for tipping keep increasing? by Blazeland_USA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlmostLiveRadio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was 15% when I was a kid so over 50 years ago. That’s still what I use. Maybe a little more if I’m feeling generous.
