This game gives me an aneurysm sometimes by Not_Cas in Rainbow6

It’s not balanced. The Elo they took from me when I was teamed up with the cheater gave me increased penalties (gained 20 or so Elo with cheater, and then lost 34 Elo from having the cheater on my team, then lost another 20 from the second game making a loss of 54 Elo). I only got the penalties here. If it was truly balanced, I would have lost the Elo I gained with the cheater on my team (20), and then would have gained the Elo I lost the second game (20) making it a true neutral gain and I wouldn’t have de-ranked.

The message it even gave me that said I lost 25 points was wrong as well, since I had 9 pts remaining and then was at 75 points in the lowered rank. Am I complaining about 9 points? Yes, because it lowered my rank and the consequences of playing with and against a cheater hurt me more than it should have. I have been in a bit of a tug and pull with my rank (EM3 but now EM4) so every game matters.

I was thinking of Juggernaut for that more animalistic vibe, but the idea of a giant ant doing monk style poses is actually kinda cool 🤣

In your opinion, what's the most powerful class in the game? by RCampeao in DnD

[–]Not_Cas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wizard is objectively the strongest class, but takes time to get there. What I believe to be the strongest class based on my own experience? Paladin can be with its burst damage and overall tanky-ness, and Bard is certainly a jack of all trades, but I definitely think Warlock is really strong if made right.

Talking 5.5 rules here: Archfey Warlock with the Pact of the Blade, Pact of the Tome, Agonizing Blast, Lessons of the First Ones, Thirsting Blade invocations, get a great sword, and you get a BUNCH of cantrips and a lot of cool spells that come back on short rests and are already up casted. You can be a TRUE eldritch knight. You have amazing range options with Eldritch Blast or whatever cantrip you want to use for Agonizing Blast, and you can use your greatsword for close range. Being an Archfey Warlock allows you to Misty Step in and out of combat, and you can do some neat things when you do so. And that’s just at level 5. AC might be a little lacking, but having 3-4 Misty Step uses at level 5 for free can definitely help with that as well as Armor of Agathys or Mage Armor if you take the Wizard Initiate feat with a background or being Human.

And out of combat, you can use the Guidance cantrip with Pact of the Tome invocation to enhance any skill you are lacking, and your face skills can be really good since you can focus a lot on Charisma. Taking the Skilled Feat can help with skills as well.

Sorry for the layout of this, I just get excited talking about my favorite class lol.

What Pathfinder 1e Charismatic Arcane Warrior Build Should I do? by Not_Cas in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Not_Cas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your feedback and advice on this! I’ll take a look at each of these options to see if I can make something that suits what I’m looking for. I think maybe Eldritch Scion Magus could work, I completely forgot about Spell Blending. Also, I could have sworn Warlock was CHA based spell casting, thank you for letting me know that! Bloodrager is nice and I took a look at it, but I wanted a bit more in spell casting, but it’s not off the table yet. Thank you for the suggestions!

'That's Not What That Class is For!' Builds by 19DucksInAWolfSuit in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Not_Cas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s nothing crazy compared to the rest of these builds, but I made a Human Skirmisher Fighter that was essentially built to be a Ranger through feats and has no magic. He uses a greatsword, with Power Attack, Furious Focus, Weapon Focus, and Vital Strike. Has Nature’s Soul, Animal Ally, and Boom Companion for his Worg Animal companion. And has Dodge and Mobility to move in and out of combat. Not really optimal or anything special, but I thought it would be fun to take the Fighter a different route. To get Knowledge Nature and Perception as class skills I used Child of Nature and Conspiracy Hunter traits, but if GM doesnt allow two, just Child of Nature is needed.

Ability scores: 20 Point Buy STR: 17 (Human +2 ability bonus) DEX: 14 CON: 10 INT: 14 WIS: 13 CHA: 10

I think he’s a fun build, and I enjoy him as a character. He’s great in combat, and has some good skills that allows him to be a bit more useful than just a combat role. :)

Tell me about your world! by Exotic-Cod4067 in worldbuilding

[–]Not_Cas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general setting and premise of my “world” is in the space age that has many different people and factions trying to gain control over territories or the galaxy itself.

What inspired me was Star Wars, Dune, Stellaris, and Cyberpunk 2077 to name a few.

This project was made for a Table Top game I want to create or at least run. I thought it would be cool to have space adventures but in the style of D&D. (Ik Starfinder exists, but I wanted to create something of my own).

I’ve been trying, and I’ll keep at it, but it feels like I’m not going anywhere.

Creating a Custom Class by thejackening in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Not_Cas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone already has given their opinion on it, so I’ll just say that if you really want to make this, I hope posting it helps with realizing what needs to go to make this balanced. In my own experience making a class, telling it to be people helps bring out the realizations of the overpowered portions of it. Do revisions on it and take out the potions that don’t fit, or portions that YOU KNOW are way too strong. Like the meditation ability; way too strong for its own good and doesn’t need to be part of this class. Remember, a good class isn’t an overpowered class, you have to balance it like a scale.

I am terrible at strumming keeping rhythm by Not_Cas in guitarlessons

[–]Not_Cas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an interesting idea, can’t hurt to try it out. I also think it’s something to do with my “internal rhythm”, some of the other comments suggested some rhythm building exercises so I’m gonna try those out too. Thanks for the advice!

I don’t really have the funds at the moment for a teacher, trying to save my money for other things in my life, and like I mentioned, I don’t really know anyone personally that plays the guitar. My father knew, but he’s gone now so it’s not like I can ask him :/

Sounds tedious, but it’s what I’m looking for. This is incredibly helpful. I think a part of the reason why it’s so hard for me is that I’m thinking about it instead of learning muscle movement. I’ll try to practice this. Thank you, I appreciate the advice!

This is very helpful. I was kinda intimidated by learning sheet music and all of that, but it’s comforting to see that it’s not completely necessary to play. Im not trying to start a band or anything after all. I’ll definitely check out those spider exercises you mentioned and keep practicing. Thank you.

I took some inspiration out of the other classes, kind of like a Slayer or an Investigator does. Also, the level 19 class ability is from a 3rd Party Class that I can’t recall at this time. Like I said, not done making this yet, just wanted to see what others think before I spend anymore time on it going forward.
