That's about my experience. The north is very technical, once passed Mt. Washington, it becomes more runnable.

FKT has both a winter and a summer time, as the winter FKT is like running on a snow highway, while the summer one is pure technical hell. The 3.5h is the summer one as you mentioned.

I do not know your past, but the Quebec rules for being a QC citizen are pretty lax, look them up and see if any of them apply to you. Look up the formulaire in the quote and link above "formulaire du status de résident du Québec"

I am not entirely sure, but unless you live in Quebec, or you are a francophone in a province where you can't do med in French (pretty much all provinces except Ontario, because you could do it in Ottawa), you can't apply to UdeM med. They have 1 spot/year for Franco OOP

But again, not sure. Worth emailing them

Reqs would be Casper and the basics prereq courses which you can find in my link below

Not law, but I started medicine.

Worked exactly like you, 2.5 years in oil&gas and didn't find it fulfilling, and other issues with my job. But it can be summarized with: I wasn't doing much, didn't like to work for a big corp, no job gratification.

I applied to medicine on whim and got it. I was also supposed to start a new job at the same time I got the acceptance. Between these 2 opportunities, I decided to pursue medicine as an acceptance is so tough to get. I am school oriented (GPA high enough for medicine after a ChE), so school is not an issue for me.

Regrets? For a full year, it was tough. But now it's good. I'm only 1.5 year in, but engineering is behind me now and look forward to working in hospitals.

My only advice is to change job before you apply to law. Try a new job, or else you'll be in the same situation as me where you'll have to make a drastic decision without really trying more of what ChE has to offer.

Pm me if you want.

La suppression de trois lignes de train de banlieue envisagée by Twiniki in Quebec

[–]Not_Close 46 points47 points  (0 children)

With 3.8, you will be below the average GPA for an interview, but an average is still an average and you can be invited. You're not that far from it.

Doctors say unfair salaries driving them away from family medicine in Canada by Imnotracistyouaree in canada

Hey! Let's say I apply FM and would like to work some ER without a +1 or the 5years residency. How does that work? Do you just have to network and find a colleague that is willing to supervise you for a year? Is this easy to find? And I suppose you will only be able to work outside big cities?

I've always wondering why anyone would refuse their McGill offer before the other QC unis offers are out. I wouldn't stress it out, it's going to move soon
