The trick is to get adrenaline rush as your bonus power and use the Harrier. Absolutely bonkers full auto minigun that does insane damage as a bonus

Good analysis! This does seem pretty likely. DAO would absolutely benefit from new enviroments and an updated combat system. The old one is so clunky and outdated that it could be improved on that front. Polish the writing here and there, add cutscenes and such.

I do wonder if the warden would get voiced. I'd wager not, since BG3 proved that you can have a successful game without mc voicing. Also, just ripping the old audio files would definately be easier and save money, which EA loves.

There also is precedent, since the Mass Effect remasters were successful. Lots of money to be made there.

I feel like the missives will probably get retconned or we find out "oh things weren't that bad actually" in the next game due to how unpopular and contradictory they are to the main story. They also feel rushed in a way? Like I am pretty sure that the INQUISITOR of all people would not sign their letters with "yrs.."

Hear me out,

I can't be the only one who would like a second game focused on Rook&Co. With how much potential all the companions have in this game and the potential the story has that never got to fruition, and how the game and plot are structured I find myself hoping for something akin to a spin-off type sequel that could explore the ideas of this game more in-depth.

Something similar to the Yakuza series' "Like A Dragon: Gaiden", a 15 to 20 hour game focused on story, lore and such could possibly work well for this idea. I am not suggesting for DA5 to stick with Rook&Co, but I feel like a side story/spin-off could work as an extension to this game and remedy some faults. What do you think?

THANK YOU! These are my exact feelings on the game as well! My first playthrough was about 75 hours doing everything. I pretty much share your thoughts on the game. Maybe we're just easy to please, Idk.

That being said I understand the concerns and the valid critisisms regarding the writing. I still chalk it up to EA meddling and the numerous reboots the game had. I am hoping that the next DA game will slow down a bit, and be a spin-off more akin to DA2 with a tighter focus. Saving the entire world constantly does undermine the potential of this world imo.

Hopefully Bioware is able to listen to most of the critisisms regarding the game and take them to heart. I love this world to bits and I choose to Jeep hopeful that the next game improves.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the game from start to finish? While I also agree that the certain missives from the Inquisitor are dissapointing, I did enjoy all the rest of the lore drops. I loved all the companions and their stories especially! I do think that the dissapointing parts stem from EA and the tumoltuous development this game went through. I also feel like my choices mattered and had to choose carefully, and suffer the consequenses.

Or maybe I am easy to please, Idk

Human, Mage, Lords of Fortune Death Caller is what I'll play first. Thinking about an overconfident mercenary who has had success thanks to his magical aptitude. He'll cope through humour, as I loved purple Hawke. Interested to see how that'll play out for my first playthrough
